want ask how long need to wait to use RFID. I installed for more than 2weeks now. they said i need to wait sms but till now no sms.
*
Usually within 24 hours upon installment. Check your tng ewallet, under RFID, see if you see your car number plate listed there. If you see that, it means you can use it already. Since you have it done 2 weeks ago, most likely you can start using it already. Just try it.

Wait until july 2019, then go to hq bangsar there? My home in PJ
And balance (if have) will send by cheque?
*
There is also a tng hub at nu sentral. I think balance can be transferred into the new card provided it's under the same name for both old and new card.

Wow very confusing leh, were u all talking about reloading TnG card with Boost or TnG ewallet?
*
Someone said that he could reload touch n go card using touch n go ewallet as the mode of payment instead of using cash.

Well, the question is, if one can use tng ewallet to pay to reload tng card, can boost be used too? Nobody has yet to try it.

You may refer this FAQ
Or am I understand wrongly ??  hmm.gif

Q:
What happens if I do not have sufficient funds in my Touch ‘n Go eWallet?

A:
You can still pass through the toll if your Touch ‘n Go card has sufficient fund as the toll fare will be deducted from your Touch ‘n Go card.

So if u r passing thru a RFID lane, n if ewallet no money then RFID doesn't work n u need to use TnG card n touch the reader?

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 25 2019, 10:15 PM)
He was asking if the e-wallet balance is lower than the toll charge, can RFID (not physical TnG card) deduct the money from the linked TnG card?

Am I understanding it wrongly? hmm.gif

The above statement said that when using physical TnG card at PayDirect merchant:

1. If e-wallet balance is enough, using TnG card linked to TnG e-wallet, the balance in the e-wallet will be utilized first at merchants under PayDirect (including toll operators).

2. If e-wallet balance is not lower than the toll charge, the balance of the physical card will be used then.

Did I decode wrongly?

RFID can access to your TnG card balance?
*
When you use RFID, the fare will always be deducted from your Touch 'n Go eWallet. When there is no sufficient balance in your eWallet, the barrier will not open and baki kurang will be displayed on the panel. If you are at the dedicated lane, you will have to reverse out and go to Touch 'n Go lane or Smart Tag lane as the Touch 'n Go reader has been removed/deactivated at all dedicated RFID lanes. If you are at the Hybrid RFID/TnG lane, then you can take out your physical Touch 'n Go card and tap it at the reader. If you are at the Hybrid RFID/SmartTag lane, then you need to take out your Smart Tag device for the reader to read. If you do not have a Smart Tag device, it seems like you have to wait for the attendant to come to activate the Touch 'n Go reader for you to tap your physical card.

If you have your physical Touch 'n Go card details stored in the eWallet, then you can use your stored card at PayDirect supported highways and fare will be deducted from your eWallet. You have to tap the physical card. And only when your eWallet has insufficient fund, then the fare will be deducted from that particular physical card that you use.

Many users have complained about not being able to reload the Touch 'n Go card from the eWallet. So with PayDirect, you don't have to reload the card, but only reload the eWallet. The card will act as a medium.

Anyone tried ?

QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Apr 26 2019, 02:31 PM)
Nope, I asked in 1 outlet before, only cash.

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 26 2019, 05:58 PM)
Previously somebody shared that you can top up your physical TnG card using TnG e-wallet.

Anybody verified this?
I have no time and chance to do so.
*
I have also tried one outlet, only cash, cannot use Touch 'n Go eWallet. I'm also interested to know which outlet that this person tried and could use eWallet to top up.

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Apr 26 2019, 06:00 PM)
Thanks for your sharing.

In short, RFID cannot deduct fund from TnG Card but TnG/Smart Tag line can deduct from e-wallet if insufficient fund in the TnG card so it’s call PayDirect

My initially thinking was opposite... thanks for correction !

*
The fact that they put that particular sentence under the Tng Card section in the eWallet confuses a lot of users. People around me got confused by it, and I have to explain to each and every one of them. 😅

Question: Can I use smart tag for "paydirect" also? I just need to put the registered touch n go card into the smart tag device, no?
*
Yes, that's correct. As long as that card is added into your eWallet and you are using it on PayDirect supported highways, you can use on both Touch 'n Go and Smart Tag lanes.

I'm using pay direct with toll rebates. Usually once I pass the toll booth, the app will sent a notification that amount has been deducted and I've received the rebates. However, I noticed not all the time I receive the notification, and when I check the transaction of pay direct in the app, the transaction is not recorded, but my rebate quata is used up. Anyone know if this is a bug?
*
It could be delayed. Maybe check back again next week.

Slightly diff question. I usually reload my TnG like in RM200 in petrol kiosk as I frequently drive and uses TnG card for tolls.

Currently I have like 270+ in total in card... and I topup more frequently with TnG APP with YOLO more then topping up my TnG Card lol... Thanks to PayDirect (also gotten my 10+5+5 toll rebates in mere 3 days thanks to LDP integration)

Now my question is... Excluding Withdrawal the funds from the card (With extra charges of iinm RM15+ per transaction) to my savings... Or Keeping my TnG APP empty so I can utilize the funds in my card... Is there anyway to transfer the funds to the app from the card?

I seldomly use PLUS these days due to change of projects... and with most klang valleys highway has been "PayDirect-ed"... So except keeping my app without funds... or is there a Switch-like button to disable paydirect therefore it utilize the funds from the card? hahaha!!!

PS: Anyone gotten 1k From ketupat yet?  rclxms.gif

If you want to utilise the fund in your physical TnG card, then remove the card from your TnG eWallet app. If the card is not added into the app, it won't deduct the fare from your eWallet. So once you have used until it reaches the level you want, then add it back to the app.

Hi guys,

I encountered some issue with my Touch N go card today.

I sent some msg to TNG FB page but there's no response.

Can anyone tell me what is the problem?

Thank you in advance!

Conversation:

- Hi, good day. I would like to seek clarification for the following error(?) when using the card - the card has been checked in

- What does it means?

- To provide further details, yesterday I went to shopping mall A and tried to use the card for parking entry but it failed.

- And today i went to shopping mall B and tried to use the same card for parking entry. Then I saw the error prompt/msg

- Both times the barrier gates didn’t open

- and of course the card doesn't work when leaving shopping mall B as well.

Did you meet the minimum balance requirement? Some requires you to have a minimum of RM15 balance in the card.

All Shell?

Got official announcement? So far only Boost is officially accepted at Shell.
*
There is announcement in the ewallet app. Look under promotions.

I went to Shell at Kesas earlier and they have both Boost and Tng eWallet sign everywhere. So now can buy things at the store and pay using eWallet instead of just cash.

pay inside counter?
*
Yes pay inside at the counter. Tell them how much you want to pump and pay using boost.

If want to pump full, cashier told me that I have to leave RM100 cash as deposit, go pump and come back to get back RM100 and make payment with Boost.

But I usually just pump a fix amount. Easier that way.

Yes.

Since when did they no longer charge the deposit RM5? I remember last time when I changed mine many years ago, they collected the deposit as if like when you purchase a new card.

KLIA toll from PJ. I believe it is not covered by PayDirect?
*
Elite Highway? Not PayDirect.

As long as it's a closed system, it is not supported. If you have to tap in and tap out one, so far not supported.
