Hi, I have a question. I have 2 months outstanding loan from easy rhb. Does rhb has the right to suspend my rhb saving account because of that? Fyi, my payroll is bank in into my rhb account. Now I cannot do any transactions, and when I called them it will take 3 days to activate after they deduct the outstanding loan. Appreaciate if anyone knows about this.thanks

Read up your loan agreement.

Its in ur loan agreement. If im not mataken fir unsecured lending like personal loan and credit card they will do that. Not only rhb, all the banks will do that..

I called them everyday now its day 3 but still not release my account. Now they said latest by friday. Its really frustrating. The person in charge also very rude. I think this is personal attack to me since i did not pickup their calls before. To where and who can i report this?

rhb tag ur saving acc coz they know its ur salary acc.. u just call them and pay the overdue if u got the money to release ur saving or u wait them to deduct from ur saving once u got ur salary..

I called them everyday, and already aggree if they wabt to deduct from my saving account. But they just delay everything. When they want to chase payment at night also call

once paid those outstanding, keep calling them until they "released" yr account

who is the person name who incharge of holding ur acc?

she is holding ur saving acc bcoz she cant reach ur phone before. idk maybe next week? did ur saving hav any amount ? more then 1 installment?

Yes, there is a standard clause called Right of Set off

Hence, I never keep my FD and investment accounts where I have many loans and CC.

To add, right of Set off means that the bank is entitled to deduct monies from other account maintain by the customer to recover (set off) and loans owed by the said customers.

It is a standard clause for all CC, loans, Housing Loans, P Loans, etc.

Yes have.

You can always log a report/complaint at BNM. But you need to get your proof and statement right.

As other forumers said, the right to offset is in your contract, so there is nothing you can rant about. But for the delay of not able to access your account after deduction of payment, this you can certainly file a report.

I work in tiger bank for 6 years and i know this is normal...thats why i nvr dare default or pay late my tiger bank credit card lol.

My advise. Take loan not same bank with ur salary account.

At least I know 1 of the many problems you have... You defaulted on your loan.

Its pitiful as well because rhb easy is notoriously famous for loaning illogical high amount of loan to a herd...

A herd as usual will only think about how much the highes loan they can secure frm any banks n not consider the consequence of are they able to pay off the huge liabilities month to month, do they have enuf emergency reserve fund should emergemcies happen?

if got money no need to hold ur saving ma.. can just setoff. now more then 3 day u still cannot use ur saving acc?

and yes, it is painful when they blocked your savings and took ages to unblock, unless you've become tiger then transformed into dragon.. haha.. then they maybe took your case seriously..

You are at the mercy of RHB Bank Officer..

Even if you owe RHB Credit card , RHB still has the right to deduct outstanding amount directly from your RHB account..

It is all in the agreement especially the fine print..

Of course will kena blacklisted. This kind of borrower do not deserve any loans or facility.

You sign agreement with the devil, you need to pay it back in full.
