Hi, i'm a new Exora Bold owner received my car last month and just curious to know that does it comes with free service for labor charges and parts? because i've sent the car for 1000km 2 day ago for a service, they say proton only offer "free labor charges" and does not include "parts", RM140 for Semi oil and filter change only.
*
exora purchased over different periods of time have different levels of included 'free' service/warranty.
those from early 2015 only gives free labor for first 3 services (1k,5k,10k) and 3 years warranty.
sometimes (or rarely), your sales person may give you voucher for free items during service (eg: oil filter).

currently they are giving 7 years extended warranty for most proton models. good news for new potential owners.
but please dont mistake 'extended warranty' for meaning not having to pay anything at all when you send your cars to the service centers.

I just want to know hows this car overall..  I plan to downgrade from stream...  Afraid i will lose everything i term of what i mentioned above.. No offense...
*
since you own a stream, only fair that u try out the exora yourself with your family and see what they think.
i think space and performance wise should be fairly similar between the two, but the stream interior and finishing will feel more premium.

Hi everyone. Am interested on Exora due to family member increase. Upgrade from sedan to MPV.
Test drive Exora and Ertiga last month, wife prefer Exora due to space and complain Ertiga interior hard to maintain.
I a bit "reject" proton due to previous experience, Waja owner!!!
Question:
1. Power steering - Feel very heavy compare to others such as Myvi and Honda. Any female owner here and share, as this will be my wife weekday ride. Will it hard to handle?
2. ISOFix - One thing border me a lot is the 2nd roll do not come with ISOFix, is there any solution to add the ISOFix? Child seat is a MUST for me.
3. Service center - Am staying near shah alam, so properly will send to proton HQ for service, I presume they should be 1 of the best since is the HQ, am my assumption correct?

Did u compare honda brv?

Latest update from COSE, my request to change gearbox under warranty is allowed. Now they are waiting for the gearbox.
For those who missed my post previously, my car had a bad jerking issue which turned out a gearbox problem.
This is about to reach 4 years old exora bold with 3 years warranty period is already over.
Luckily i keep sending it to proton sc,so they allow me to change gearbox with no cost.

You appealed after the initial rejection, right? What's the process like?

It wasnt that hard actually.
At first of cos the SA  said this car warranty period is over.
But still he do some background check on the record before saying that actually he can help appeal for it to be still under warranty since my service record was good. Just need to pay for cvt oil replacement
*
good for you. luckily the SA was helpful.
not sure if all good service like that or will just leave you be.

i own a 2015 exora, but mostly just use as weekend family car or daily driving to MRT station, highway drive, etc

it's a good 'MPV' because of the size and capacity, but not really a good daily car/city car.

depending on your use case, eg. if you drive it alone daily, i feel that the new Aruz might be a good compromise.

at this point, i guess if you still want to biggest spacious car at a B-segment price, exora is the way to go.

but all the talk about it being cheaper is not true. yeah, there might be free service and free internet, but for 60-67k price, some features have been taken away.

eg: the executive one doesnt come with reverse cam anymore because proton switched the rear view mirror to a fancy borderless kind and executive doesnt get the GKUI head unit. so, good luck reversing that big ass in the parking lot. LOL.

change accelerator peddle sensor, swap ecu and tcu, clean throttle body, check wirings but still the same problems

obd2 error code
P0642 - powertrain
P2135 - throttle pedal position sensor
P012c - powertrain
C1555 - chasis
U1013 - network
U1012 - network
P005A - powertrain
P1401 - powertrain
P00D0 - powertrain
P0700 - transmission control system
P0128 - coolant thermostat
P0001 - powertrain

any help or suggestion appreciate very much

about 1 year ago, i've had some problems (engine light on, cvt light on, engine rev very loud - high rpm) when i test using china bt obd2 scanner and 'pro' version of torque.
i assumed something wrong with the app, or the scanner (maybe incompatible setting, and they giving wrong input or instructions to ecu) and i stopped using it. never had any problems ever since.

Finally got my car back. Total for changing engine mounting is RM451. Now the car is very quiet, like new.

Any good floor mat to recommend?
*
im still using the 'maggi' coil mat which i asked the accessory shop to cut based on original mat size.
saw got a lot new 5D mat, which is shaped to fit the floor exactly, not sure the durability of material.

this model should have BT. but i'm not sure for models without the on-steering controls.

the earlier CFE model, if you buy the lowest range, radio no BT, steering no buttons.
its only for model with leather seat above.

yes, me too. 7 year car.

the gear level bush is a small plastic ring that connected the driver gear selector at top to the gear box parts underneath. the plastic ring cannot last many years, and it will break.

at first i tied with cable, but gear shift doesn't feel accurate because still got a bit of gap/play. so go shopee and buy RM2 silicone part, now all working fine.

Hey guys I'm wondering if Exora is worth it. I like boot size of it and it is good for my father who has stroke to get in and he said he likes the car.

However, I've heard people say the engine and radiator causes problems after a few years.

Can anyone vouch for exora so I can finally pull the trigger thanks!

Where buy exora now? Used car need to save some budget for repairs. Protons require attention, you have to maintain them well, take note of things that require to service and parts need replace when due and it’ll run great.

i suggest get RC with the new ODO, bigger LCD in the middle (or you can swap old car with new ODO, but the mileage will differ).
bigger LCD set to running L/100km monitor fuel consumption, when cruising, can be lighter on pedal, dont need rev so high. save fuel where possible.
also newer odo minor benefit is nicer seatbelt and signal sound.

I spent RM50 per week for Saga, does it mean I have to spend twice?
Yes you are right used. 2012. Selling about 20k.

Great to here, I had a 2011 Saga but it needed maintenance I spent over 20k now already
That's amazing sadly newer models are not available here.

Can I know what terms are being used here? Should I get Turbo version of Exora?

exora got updated version in 2019 (exora RC), one of the change is new speedometer (ODO), is look more modern and has bigger display then older model.
