Minor update. OCH with metal section in middle (UCM brand), 90k changed, 110k leak. Oil detected along oil cooler down towards nearby oil filter area.

Rubber no swelling or harden, but the internal oil seal layer seems like leaking and oil come out from the body of the hose itself.

Original full rubber (EPDM) hose with no metal joint lasted >50k between 40~90k.
Now, change back full rubber (EPDM).

Yeah, I got it at P1SC. Engine mounting also from SC.

But, it doesn't matter ori or not. Engine mounting also change brand, now made by TRIM. Reliability same same, 10k over will start vibrate again. Later consider change Schmaco and try.

OCH is ok, keep the warranty more important. Unless you rajin want to argue with Proton if other issues need to claim warranty to prove it has nothing to do with it. The OCH burst is luck. Here my 2 sen:
- Good coolant is more important
- Don't let turbo overheat, and cause oil film inside turbo bearing break down
- OCH sends oil in and out of the heat exchange unit, where coolant also removes heat from oil

Other myths and considerations:
- don't use additives. However, I used to add Tufoil to my car, no problem. Turbo hose also never changed. So far inside is clean.
- don't idle the car too long. Some owners like to just let the car idle, with aircon running for a very long time, like up to an hour. I don't do this, and I am not sure if there's anything bad to it.
- use good oil. I don't particularly use FS all the time. I've switched between Tesco Shell, Tesco Mobil1, German capalang brand, Petronas FS/SS, mineral HDEO... and found nothing wrong with the OCH - no hardening or swelling. 5W-30 to 15W-40 all use. Don't care.
- using aircon while driving the car is actually better to keep the coolant temperature lower. This is because the aircon fan will run more often to keep the coolant temp low. When I don't use AC, I notice more often the car reach 90C when stop, and the fan will run, vs if I run AC all the way.

Recently gear bush berkecai hancur become small bits.
DIY use fuel hose to pasang, now the gear shift feels very solid.

For users feel the gear knob got freeplay a bit, better have it checked and replaced whenever you can.
If emergency, you only need a Philips screwdriver to open the gearbox console, and tie the gear shifter to the lever.

- shift gear to N
- remove plastic square frame surrounding gear stick
- remove 2 side screws at leg compartment
- remove 2 screws attached to center console
- pull backwards and upwards
- check from driver side leg compartment, gearbox cable loop connect to gear lever



Exora got this RPM limiting (3k) when it detect gear not engaged. Next time check see the dashboard, the gear position, does it flicker?

Second possibility, accelerator pedal sensor need to replace. Next time when happen, find a place to stop and test pedal in Neutral gear, see if RPM can up down smoothly.

Others maybe spark plug or plug coil.

Another suggestion, get OBD2 bluetooth and use phone app (Torque for example) to monitor boost, throttle position, and other parameters to see...

I just changed my front stabilizer bush, and previously steering rack mounts, and previously previously full set absorbers.
Back don't have stabilizer, only have axle bush (not yet change) and absorber mounting bush that comes with absorbers if change new set.

erm, when car straight, road up down hear kik-kuk or guk guk sound - anti roll bar bush
if kik-kuk or guk guk sound when turning - steering rack (one mounting and 2 bush), the bush easy rosak becoz is smaller even compare to Livina Alza ones

other issues can be tie rod, arm bush, absorber mounting etc
best ask foreman check
my foreman if I whatsapp him, he'll answer same thing 'leave car i check'

right now, my arm bush can see is got crack, becoz the arm move up and down one, but is not pecah... foreman say no issue... veli good foreman... he ask me just change the car

My battery update:
Stock batt: 2013 aug - 2015 june (2 years)
75D23L: 2017 July (2 years) - cannot charge back, stayed at 10.8V, suspect plate shorted
55D23L: 2020 April (2.5 years) - can charge back, no plate short, maybe just COVID MCO related
NS60L biasa: 2 years, still ok. top up water first time last week. 12.55V overnight.

ya, same here, deswai pasang back the cheap NS60 (smaller, lighter, cheaper) and add padding below to reduce shock

can you check the fuel consumption the L/100km mode, is it also go gila whenever u drive?

I think is 60k km with filter, I change 50k, easier to remember.
But, if follow the schedule, the price is more spread out more wallet friendly.

so far after service CVT, always kena red durian sign, means the CVT needs readaptation.
But, after do few times, it's good.

Not sure though, last I recall, the later models have HDMI overhead player, brake booster... mine 2013 model so far ok je.

Modern engines are 2-3k RPM, compared to 3-6k RPM of old. I guess with that timing belt life also is higher.
FEAD belt is fancy name for serpentine belt, mine now got squeaking noise oredi, suspect the tensioner pulley bearing making the noise. Compared to timing belt, it's exposed to outside, and twisted in and outwards so lifetime is shorter?

Keep timing belt clean and oil free it will last long.
Serpentine belt is more stressed than timing belt.
You want timing chain, then do different engine, but it's an extra consideration when choosing engine oil.
