QUOTE(alexei @ Jan 27 2016, 04:04 PM) Serious. It needs to be accessed from engine bay. That cable tie trick is used for brake hoses, intercooler passage, and oil hose. DrexChan punya pasal. ya, cheap way of having braided brake hose

so, does it mean systematically change or conditional i.e. if the cooler/hose seems ok then they dont change it.

read elsewhere that the new hose material doesnt absorb/affected much by oil like the old one. so less prone to lose flexilibity & strength..

QUOTE(muslayer @ Mar 23 2016, 08:28 PM) I am just wondering why you guys still waiting for OCH claim ? If think the unsafe, just go buy and ask some workshop to change. I doubt the rubber will cost you few hundred in spare part shop ? based on what ive seen, both hoses are less than rm50 at SC/PPC. not much for peace of mind. can even do preventive maintenance every 20/30k imho.

QUOTE(20v_ke35 @ May 19 2016, 08:04 AM) Higher profile will give us comfort, but the stock profile will do. For low noise, try to use thin thread patterns. The noise usually comes from tick tyre groves patterns. From experience, yokohama S-drive tyres is quiet enough for me. That is until it thinning. thanks for the tips. thinking of staying with stock profile since its common size i guess? i really cannot bear with the noise now. 30k km on champiro iinm. QUOTE(SleeplessEyes @ Jun 29 2016, 09:19 PM) For me, the best way to take care of a turbo, is to idle the car for around 30 secs to 1 minute (air cond off also) if driven hard, although thr turbo is water cooled. And activate the radiator fan twice after switch off the engine. And if i am at home, i open up my front hood to let the hot air expel for at least a few hours. I know its not written in the manual but just extra precaution measures. Here is an article about taking care of turbo: https://www.team-bhp.com/tech-stuff/idling-...bo-charged-carssometimes i do this too. i wonder if there are drawbacks to it like rapid cooling or something.
