I too have an L shaped crack on the windshield. Mine is exactly like yours, but moving upwards instead.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Exactly same like mine laugh.gif

My crack occurred due to flying stone hitting the windshield. Happened in january this year, been living with the crack until now.

So far the crack hasn't expanded or anything so I'm just leaving it as it is. Covered up the crack with a strip of duct tape smile.gif

Does anyone know the exact type of EcoTint tint that comes with the EB Premium? Gotta re-tint the windshield when I get my windshield crack done.
*
Why do you need to hold it using duct time (i guess inside) as the tinting is holding it. Feeling like trying to do a DIY on fixing the crack.

No idea on what model they use, but if you want to redo it, why dont you get better ones's. I know it's more expensive but definitely better heat reduction.

for those who got the crack on the windshield....do u think we're just unlucky or is it the factory defect since all crack start from the edge or is the design of MPV itself (aerodynamic)
*
for me is a small stone, as i heard the stone hit, then follow by the crack sound

only noticeable if look closely as there is a small chip at the start of the crack

For those with windscreen crack, when you hear stone chip, do you see the stone hitting the windscreen?
My guess sometimes, at the instant the screen cracks, there will be an audible 'pak' sound. This could be mistaken for stone hitting the windscreen?
*
Yes, for me as i can see the stone chip on the windscreen that started the crack

How many here using Ron97 vs Ron95 ?
When im in city , Ron97 vs Ron95  is like night and day
Power delivery and tork is there , the engine is more quiet and also all thos eirritating knocking and rattling sounds from the dashboard is lessensd coz the power delivered puts the engine under less strain and gives better performance and even better milage !! Huh ?!?
My other cars give same mialage but Exora likes the extra oomph !
Ron95 now reserved for the highways
*
only used Ron95 and mostly city driving, only once full highway back to penang.

Used Shell 95 and Petronas 95, dont see the difference, in all terms.

That stiff ring thingy sounds interesting, but I wonder how much it will cost, if I go back to my regular accessories shop and inquire! hmm.gif
*
Price of stiff ring:

RM240 front kit, RM260 rear kit. Installation at our HQ Cheras is RM70 front and rear.

I have just install Ultra Racing Bar for the Front and the Back, on the drive out I felt the difference of the car comfort, not like the stock. It's always either performance / stability or comfort.

Can ask all Owner of Exora Bold or 2015 model,
does your air cond blower will fluctuate and more noticeable if on level 2 above.
(Wind Big then small abit then continue fluctuation)
*
Nope, dont have this problem.

QUOTE(THTgadgets.com @ Dec 9 2015, 11:03 AM)
Not bad, that's very good mileage. The highest level that is shown on my full tank indicator, since I took possession of this Exora in September, was 603km (and that was on the day I picked the car up! laugh.gif), and since then, the maximum I've seen is between 570 to 590km.

How do I "boost" the mileage levels up on a full tank, just to ask? hmm.gif
*
Same as mine, not it will not even go higher than 580. But i know that even i drive for 30+, it's still stay at 580.

When back to hometown, Penang on the 23rd (night drive) and 29th (afternoon drive). Average speed of travel is between 140 - 160. The car is with 3 adults (including myself), a toddler and full load of baggage on the back (take down the seats on the last roll)

This is the first time I drive the car in this state and I love it. The car felt stable on this high speed and still comfortable overall (only mod is UR front and back). The only thing don't like is the engine noise when at 160 (more than 4K rpm) and the fuel consumption, as didn't expect it will take that much.

Now the car felt light and smooth when slow accelerating and the reverse doesn't felt like before, need to accelerate hard to move the car. Car just reaching 10K and will do the service before CNY, hope that will make the car smoother and better fuel consumption.

anyone using car cover? can provide brand, location of purchase and price, as weekend car, always collecting dust at home.

Saw some at Lazada brand A1, but not convince as MPV and XXL size same only.

Just done my 10K service yesterday and this round using Petronas Full Sync 1000 and the car felt very different. Dont think its the engine oil, guessing something to do with changing something in ECU, as the throttle felt really, really different lighted and lower rev.

On the OCH issue, the information I understand is that the new replacement part from Proton do install to some models and years of the cars. I haven't check on my car, as mine it's 2015.

CVT mounting failure? What kinds of symptoms did you get?
*
think this is the same as the changing the gear box mounting. Posted a video on this before on this thread on the sound when releasing on pace.

Hi Exorites,

Need some help here. I own a 2015 Exora Bold and the replacement of the useful fog lamp with DRL in this model IMHO defies practical logic. My friend has an older model with the regular foglamp which i find helps in travelling in the dark trunk roads at night is not so with my DRL.  Is there a way to change to foglamp?

If so, is there any recommendations on brand and where I can have it done (I'm in Klang Valley). Thanks.
*
Yes, you can change back to the foglamp or you can make the DRL run permanently even with the main headlights on, this is what I did.

The foglamp give you better lights as you can change to what ever type of light you want (normal bulb, LED or HID)

Yup I managed to get my OCH changed at 35k mileage. Apparently there was a memo released by Proton to the SCs a couple of months ago to allow for 30k+ onwards mileage to be eligible
*
Aiyak, mine is just 20K

zaidiThanks for the info. Good to know.
Sorry, didn't mean to offend your choice. To service or not, even the experts have different things to say, so I don't try to sway your decision.
No right or wrong.

If anything, I'm just saying go ahead with it. Please update here your observation after it's done is all I'm asking for.
As some of you know, I'm way up north and don't follow the FB thread much more for his service events.

Saya faham that many people just want to take service it and buy a peace of mind, after all, if that thing fails, it is more expensive to replace.
Not just that, the extra cash that is unplanned for makes it difficult, not everybody has 1k spare cash all the time.
*
I know it's not for all, but those with newly purchase of 7 years warranty, turbo failure should be under Proton, right ?
