Engine mounting you say? I'll keep that in mind. |

QUOTE(2uk3y @ Apr 13 2015, 08:59 PM) btw do u guys face problem where sometime hard to change gear from P to R after parking. i face this 2nd time already. Not really. Unless if you pull the gear before stepping on the brakes, then you'll lock down the latch or something, makes it hard to disengage P even if u press the brakes later. Press brakes first, then disengage P, give it a try. |

QUOTE(tehsarbat @ Apr 21 2015, 02:29 AM) about long time not visit here. pretty buzy lately. many new story eea. just to update my 38th month old BOLD. warrenty period officelly ended last 2 month, and my last claimed was the ABS sensor, both front. just did the 45000KM service last week, cost me RM630, plus the front brake pad. Good to hear from you.for 70% highway, at +-3000RPM, AFC clocked 9.4L/100KM(10.64KM/L) with either caltex or bhp. till date still in good condition with no major problem. power and handling still can push at the maximum level when needed. hey, its just a malaysian MPV. how much more can we expect. Well, still 70k so I expect it to worth every cent. |

QUOTE(andrew_tba @ Apr 22 2015, 07:18 PM) Not to that extent. Reason I checked was to prepare for upcoming 30k service.I reported oil leak after 20k but SC thinks it's oil left over during the service. First thing I noticed was the gearbox body that is facing the front is very dirty. In the picture, it is at the right side. It appears dry, black in color. Wiped it with my finger and the stain can be removed, notice the finger wipe mark in the photo. Feels a little oily, but no smell. Perhaps it is oil mist covering the surface of gearbox, mixed with dust and dirt. Then, I proceed to take photos of the underbody to discover that sensor component covered in oil. ir5The oil leak is pretty minor, and I'm actually considering between getting it fixed or not. That would depend how major will the fix be, as I can't leave the car overnight at SC.
Oil level is healthy, nothing catastrophic. |

QUOTE(limandpg @ Apr 28 2015, 11:24 PM) Sorry for late reply. Exora is still in Penang SC without news. Alright then, it will take them a while to figure out what is wrong. Suggest to ask them for some timeline, don't just wait buta buta. Not sure if they can lend us a car... I learned recently, if it were a VW car kena more than 2 days in shop, they will lend the owner a car to use.I remember first sign was the illumination of Check Engine Warning lamp when I drove uphill at night. As it was raining I hardly heard any unusual sound. I didn't fell any power lost and after the slop I drive slowly about 30 minutes to reach home. The next day when I sent my car to a nearby mechanic to check, I only felt power lost (especially after 2k rpm). The mechanic opened the Turbo connecter and the fin was not moving. When rpm reached 2.5k, we started to hear the turbo vibrating sound (ge..ge..ge..ge..ge..). He concluded Turbo shaft broken as it became loosen. I called Proton SC and they asked me drive slowly to SC the next day. I decided to check at nearby Northern Garage and with the same procedures, it was concluded that turbo was not working after starting the engines. With a engine monitor, the error code was P0299 which stated turbo undercharge. |
