Hey guys...i really confuse now..hope to get good advise..
I just sent my application to SIA and AirAsia but got no reply..guess im not in then..
I just finish my SAM and i have 2 choice now...one is take degree in engineering and one more is take the diploma course in air trasport where there provide course till u get a ATPL (i suppose) in Australia and join the aviation industry.

So what i worry now is not getting a job as a pilot after finish my aviation course and i will be stuck without any other degree in hand.

But on the other hand...engineering course would take 4 years and only could work maybe on the 5th year.

Both have the pros and con...can i get some pro advise please..
Thank you.

you've just missed the first round of interview this year for SIA. but there will be a few more rounds in the following months. if you are selected, expect to get a call-up in february. good luck to you

MAS, not yet qualitfy for SIA...

It is equally hard to qualify for both MAS and SIA; especially to pass all MAS' interview process. but malaysians are lucky because they can start young with MAS. all the best to your interview. make sure you do it right, because it's once in a lifetime.

We can have command by simply saying i have control? even the captain is not agree?
I scare that the captain would fight back, since he dare enough to use the word 'Shut up' to his team mate.

you should try read up on Crew/Cockpit Resource Management.

guys...

u know that air asia open for their cadet pilot last month?Well,i send my resume the day before the closed date.I know that my form will be rejected but i just simply send it.

I put my email in there so maybe they will contact me.And guess what,i received an email from Air Asia Hr manager and he told that my form been rejected. And what surprise me is,he enclosed that with porn picture.I really angry with the person who did that.Of course i was shocked cause a professional person wont do this.I really dissapointed with AirAsia now...not just because of that , but they also didnt have a manner....gosh...im in hurry now....so,my word tunggang langgang..that's all i want to tell u all..i hate it vmad.gif
*
this is utterly unprofessional. if you are sure the email address is from AA, then complain to the boss. save your email for further proof

btw, i've never seen a pilot who don't talk big and love to boast. it's just part of their culture. even with IQ <100

if you've never seen before, then you need to go out to the world and see more. your assumption is wrong.

there are more ppl like that in the Kopitiam section than pilots.

edit: and if you think pilots have pea brains, then i suggest you don't fly a plane until they put robots in the cockpit. you can rely on the 'trusty' computers to get you to the destination (assuming that the computers dont crash in middle of flight and have eyes to see unexpected conditions).

haha.. i know u would reply to that line. my flamebait was a success. thank god!  rclxm9.gif

well, not many of them are like that, but i can see most of them outside (at shopping malls or wutsoever) + many of my relatives are pilots. so, i kindda observe their behaviors.

here and there, i've secluded my ignorance towards saying most pilots are bragging pricks. maybe, it's some sort of defensive and ego talks among them. they don't want to lose their job either by playing small.

nonetheless, i've to thank many pilots for bringing me down to safe haven for countless countries i've visited, including Switzerland.  biggrin.gif ( i love the alps)

whether you are flamebaiting or not; or you are trying hard to make a turn-around, this is not kopitiam. and you should know well of the LYN r&r. your first line already can get you into trouble for some mods. no one will be dumb enough to flamebait in the first post and plead guilty in the second.

pilot sucks, just like any others driver, just sit there and fly.

you suck too. because you drive a car, just like any other drivers. endangering the pedestrians.

come on, post something more constructive. and hope you enjoy the warn or holiday to mars.

LASIK is a sensitive thing for most of the airline companies. if you are seeking sponsorship from airlines, always try to apply and get thru the medical first without LASIK. after all, there's no harm trying. during my interview, i was asked regarding my eyesight and LASIK even when my eye report says i got perfect eye sight. seems like they don't mind having pilots with glasses but a bit conservative about LASIK. denying your LASIK status might get you thru the interview and medical, but that detroys your integrity as pilot.

LASIK is only the last resort if all else fail. a cooldown period with a subsequent good eye report will get you through.

btw, my Australian CASA medical license shows CLASS 2. don't think it's really strict to get flying license here.

Where in Jandakot do u plan to do ur training ? Royal Aero Club ? If u want to pay i suggest u go try applying for Singapore Flying College as self-sponsored cadet. After that u have a better chance of getting a contract with them. Only thing I am not sure if they are taking in Malaysian private candidates.
*
biggrin.gif free advertising for SFC. lol. hope they pay you for that. are you done with L45? don't get to see you in STC

and he's right. better chance in SFC than other flying school
