MMC shareholder meetings to vote for malakoff listing?

D day on 30/3

Hi, i may be noob a bit. Kindly educate me
- What is the concern of the meeting?
- Correct me if im wrong, MMC is Malakoff's parent company yes? So why MMC need to vote for Malakoff to list in Bursa main board?
- Moreover, i've looked at MITI website, Malakoff have registered for IPO already

Heard cornerstone demand is extremely high. (partly driven by the void from Qualitas)

The management is said to have a meeting on the 27th Evening to have a final decision on allocating cornerstone shares out which is a Friday. Wil-i-am was referring that 30th as D-day because over the weekend, Malakoff will have all the required information to launch the prospectus and more color on the leftover amount available to institution private placement, payment dates, listing dates, final pricing (higher or lower end of the price listing range) etc will be clearer.

Also, Institution usually would see how much the books are covered under cornerstone as a key consideration on how much bids/how aggressive they would bid during the private placement block.

SC gives approval in principle for Malakoff listing

The initial public offering (IPO) of Malakoff Corp, Malaysia’s largest independent power producer, is expected to raise US$740 million or RM2.7 billion.

Malakoff is said to be targeting its listing to take place sometime in May.

Malakoff to Test IPO Appetite Next Week & Will Also Finalize Cornerstone Investors by then

Malakoff Corporation Bhd, Malaysia's largest independent power producer, will be eyeing new assets after its 2.74 billion ringgit ($739 million) IPO this May, The Malaysian Reserve reported on Tuesday, citing director Che Khalib Mohamad Noh.

Che Khalib, who is also group managing director of MMC Corporation Bhd, which holds a controlling stake in Malakoff, did not elaborate on details of assets that the company is eyeing, the financial paper added.

Heard a good sizable portion of shares went to Cornerstone reducing MITI allocation.
