TNB generates 8,636 MW.
Malakoff generates 5,346 MW.
YTL Power generates 1,170 MW.
By March 2016, Malakoff generates additional 1,000 MW to 6,346 MW which leads to additional revenue. From 2010 to 2013 there's an average of 3.2% increase in demand for electricity from TNB estimating 2015's to be at 17,637 MW.
From 2016 to 2020, additional new power plants to be built at 28 billion ringgit,
generating 7,626 MW of electricity. This might be benefiting IPPs due to joint ventures that could be happening.
Malakoff is also tendering for RAPID's project. The demand for this utility will always be increasing.

Long story short, this stock is going to hit above RM2.00 within a year. Those who are still holding now from IPO should buy more for dollar-cost averaging.

Why should they buy more since the price now n IPO price is not that big? Having more money tied up in one stock means loss of opportunity to bet other stocks.

The assumptions may well be realistic but the other stocks u compared may have a greater EPS since Malakoff's EPS is around 13 cents.

I'm awaiting its Q1/15 Financial Results (FR)
If FR within street expectations, price can sustain
If FR < street expectation, price will head South

But from fund manager pov, isn't it TNB present a much way cheaper alternative if they want to invest into utilities business?

TNB PE around 11x, Malakoff at RM1.80 PE is more than 20x.
