@hihihehe
Nope, at least... That's what Gala-Net pointed out for the reason of this client's availability anyway. It's to avoid from hassling the players with a MASSIVE update from the old launcher.

Btw, I used worldandtime.com and if I didn't mess up the time conversions, servers should be up by 6pm-ish OUR time. So to ellimist, be ready to see a prancing noob in Yeti pm'ing you LOLZ...

@ellimist and the rest of you NEWER entrants...
Woopsies >_< Yeah 1st post fixed for your main game server location. And this is a heads up for the rest of you newer guys/girls, AGAIN I'll be rerolling to revive guild CrashHeadBunnies on server Yeti. If you'd just created a toon at Tortus or Lydian, there's ample time to reroll a new one in Yeti. For the 1st day, there's NOTHING to shout about losses for toons' deletions, think about that. If you're hardcore (OR planning to be one) then stay in Tortus and please join guild Malaysia. OR if you want to avoid the 'oldest and 1st server's jinx', do the above. No offence to anyone, but the reason that the 'fun factor' for forumers here fluctuates too bad is that EVERY TIME 1 person rolls a toon in 1 game server, the NEXT person goes and create a toon in ANOTHER server. LOL I cant understand what's that all about by the way?

And yeah... For the love of ALL Gods... I thought they had thrown in ALL the necessary files already too but *shrugs* this isn't the case apparently. I'm patching as well at this very moment.

So a new toon is gonna rise in Yeti and GG HF & GL to all of us.

*sigh* I'm getting agitated with all of this nonsense. They should have just delayed Epic III if it's gonna turn out like this... Anyway, I figured that it's not too late for this latest edition of lakedaemon's post here;-

I'm gonna have to agree with sniperwolf later on. If this continues, a heads up to ellimist lol...I'm not gonna continue for the moment. Let's make one thing clear, I like Rappelz. But I don't like the incompetent bandwidth infrastructure that they have right now. I've played 'poorer' private shards with 1k max pop but honestly that thing never lagged for me as bad as this and it was a Canadian server to boot.

I'm a casual player myself but honestly I don't need the stam system (by the way we ALL need to stop calling it the 'stamina' system. It really is just an xp boost meter for real). When I had done iSRO before, CS regulars with xp scrolls never had garnered my attention. Like I said many times before, competing-wise, fast leveller are the ones most likely with screwed up builds. The only diff with Rappelz is that they started out with a diff system and decided to change it with Epic III. Understandably, it had pissed off a lot of players whose familiar to the system from the very start. Not a very smart move and now we have people AFK camping in towns (to note, when I left iSRO, server Troy's town had WAYYYY more people [you can even assume 50-90% MORE] than any of Rappelz' game server's Horizen. But guess what? It didn't lag as bad as Rappelz. You can easily run past by a lag spike at entrances, then just go past all the stalls with no real laggy effects.)

See my point now?

The more pressing issue is obvious... It's not only about the stam system. It's how much players can the servers really take? You can't really blame AFK players for being there? A global title means that it should have sufficient bandwidth to support 'peak' numbers of players at any given time? They can't simply assume the 1st 12 hours in a day is for X amount of players, then the next 12 hours Y amount comes in when 50% of X players presumably will log off?

Now I know WHY there won't be any guild wars just yet for Rappelz.

QUOTE(Valken @ Dec 26 2006, 02:45 PM)
This game need quite a lot of system requirement. If you find it lag, just set your setting to minimum & off all the background progam. If still lag, either quit the game at all or change your old computer.
Umm..I know. I make it a habit to NOT play anything at medium or high graphics' settings for any MMORPGs. Same thing even IF I have sniperwolf's setup LOL laugh.gif , call me superstitious... Anyways, I wasn't referring to client sided graphical lags, which was the real reason why I used Silkroad Online as an example previously. If things was on my side of things, then I would've encountered similar and rampant 'towns' lag effects back in Silkroad, but really that had RARELY happened.Comparison was made based on the fact that Silkroad Online had close to TWICE or THRICE the amount of people in towns compared to Rappelz.

And there has been numerous reports already by our fellow LYN people in pages before this, concerning lagging issues due to:-
1. 'PEAK' or 'slow' 'time zones' factors.

2. Erratic performances across all 218.x.x.x, 219.x.x.x and 60.x.x.x Screamyx IPs.

To see my point:-
QUOTE(ndra @ Dec 26 2006, 03:13 PM)
For me a lag from this game is more of a connection issue, on a screwed up session i can see people move/chat about normally but i cant move, then when i did move its like all my clicks are queued and my char move all over the place. Happens a lot at night, but smooth in the morning.
Hope that covers it on the 'whys'...

So to narrow this down to Screamyx alone would be inaccurate (due to the fact people had reported DIFFERENT things for DIFFERENT IPs). And if it was my comp's specs, I had ran Silkroad higher than Rappelz (meaning 'medium'..). By the way on my machine now, I'm running Shadowbane, Dark Age of Camelot, Lineage II and World of Warcraft near flawlessly as well. Not in higher settings of course, but enough to enjoy the eye candy while not negatively affecting the game performance.

QUOTE(Ultima @ Dec 26 2006, 06:08 PM)
em so wht pros n cons of having evolved pet or overbreeded pets?
*
A repost from the In-Depth Creatures' Guide initiative:-
PROS:-
Evolved Pets
CODE
When your creature reaches a certain level, you can evolve the creature to strengthen it even further. When you evolve a creature, it will change its name and appearance, and will be reset to level 1, but keep all the skills it has earned previously. It is similar to how characters change the job class. The first evolution can take place at level 40, and the second at level 50, .
**or actually 60, as valken had pointed out

Overbred Pets
CODE
however you can overbreed them by leveling them further before you evolve them in order to pick up more skills and make them stronger.

CONS
CODE
It takes very long to overbreed the creatures, so do it only if you have all the time in the world and have much patience.;)

Specific skills' trees for pets are available by the link above.
