QUOTE(SiaoMonkey @ Dec 29 2014, 02:43 PM) Hi, I just bought the same bike (Amis FAC2.1 - blue) last week and haven't got a change to ride it as raining everyday. Now looking for the 2 rubber washers you mention. and where can i get those mud guards ? thanks Welcome to the club and you will enjoy riding it ! I got the 2 washers from Tokyu Hands when I was on holiday in Tokyo. You can also refer to H2D earlier posting in this V4 on ordering the correct type from Taobao ! As for the mudguards, I got it from the same shop I bought my bike but quality so, so only-lah as it was stripped from another bike where owner probably didn't want it !. Anyway, in SS15 Subang Jaya, the Lerun shop, they have SKS mudguard / fender for 20" wheels priced at RM139 b4 nego. It's a bit expensive but used by Dahon & Tern.

Alternatively, u may want to add a GUB handlebar stem which is another solution...available at GW Cycle as posted in their online store. You will probably need to find out whether it fits. QUOTE(SiaoMonkey @ Dec 30 2014, 11:29 PM) Thanks for the advice. @H2D any recommended Taobao seller for Bicycle accessories? Thanks Just in case you have not found the handle bar lock ring as yet, you can try buying local online dealer (Mike Bicycle Shop). They may have bought it from Taobao too but buying fr them may save you hassle of importing in. https://www.facebook.com/MikeBicycleShop/ph...?type=3&theater

QUOTE(etigge @ Jan 11 2015, 05:16 PM) If you want something that can fold as compact as the Brompton, you can opt for the Trinx or XDS 16 inch folding bike. Folded properly they can even be pack into the IKEA Dimpa bag. The Trinx is only RM580 here in West M'sia and the XDS about RM200 extra. As you said , it is only used mainly on flat lands, so the number of gears should be enough. The tires of the Bromptons are 349 mm in diameter while the mentioned bikes above are 305 mm, so the size is just a small difference. There is another brand called MIT that folds exactly like the Bs but the price is above your budget though. They cost averagely about 2.6K. There's another brand called TXed which also folds similarly compact. As for, your preference for style, retro looking bikes usually cost more. Sifu etigge, maybe she may like Dahon Boardwalk D8 ?. Does not fold as compact as Brompton but a classic Dahon bike which to me is retro looking, good for flatlands, and just at the top end of her budget (RM1.5k).

Sifu etigge is the technical expert, a "school of hard knocks" graduate, ie from experience instead of theory. I enjoy learning from him face-to-face when I need his help to upgrade. Hopefully, all the active forumers will have the opportunity to ride together, share personal experience and discuss upgrades over a teh Tarik session. After all, big boys do need new toys every now and then ! Hopefully, we can control the CBBD syndrome (Compulsive Bicycle Buying Disorder) or our other half will be screaming their head off !

QUOTE(galantorian7116 @ Mar 4 2015, 10:26 AM) I am new in folding bike. Currently I am looking for a bike that suits me (5'7") and my son (4'0"). We have tested a few bikes on display at malls, but found none that fits me and my kid. (Basically my kid's feet cannot touch the ground when seated.) I intend to bring out the bike to taman and lake garden to ride with my kid. Any advise is very much appreciated. Thanks. For all folding bikes, you can adjust seatpost and for some models, you can also adjust the handlepost to suit your kid's height and reach...
