Hi Guys/Gals,
Last month I bought the Lenovo Y50-70 UHD and it an amazing machine I ever used but after using it for about a month, I did not notice the bottom of the machine when I took it from the shop that a crack has been developed around the hinges and the side.

I did not drop it or something like that as I always keep it in the bag when not in used as with any IT product that I owned, I treat them like babies tongue.gif tongue.gif

So I took the laptop back to Lenovo service centre and they send it back to HQ and what they mention in their email shocked me.

QUOTE
As per our standard Terms and Condition, Lenovo is obligated to repair / replace parts / hardware component of your said machine in the event of valid hardware failure is diagnosed. However, in your case the base cover crack found on your machine is not supported according to our Standard  Lenovo Statement of Limited Warranty, therefore we regret to inform you that we are unable to comply to your request for part replacement at no cost.
WHAT?? I paid so much for a laptop FYI RM5.3K + RM199 for the extended warranty and something like this is not covered even damage that I did not occur. It's not a cheap laptop and I expected better customer service, haiz cry.gif

So fine, if that's the case, I ask them to quote me the price to fix the issue and be done with it and guess what, take a look at the pic below.....

as you can imagine, what is this made of GOLD?? no way I'm going to pay that so I took my laptop back and continue using it.

now I want your opinion guys, what should I do, I afraid of that crack might get worst over time.

u r lucky d, my friend bought  lenova with faulty keyboard in first day, lenova refuse for 1 to 1 exchange, warranty ? lenova ask buyer go home and wait for their response (after 2 month and weekly call back to lenova), there still nothing from lenova ......

My personal experience with lenova, call + visit them for warranty, samething happen, they ask us to wait (6 month old device)...... keep calling them, same response .............
than they call me 7 month later and told me : sir we can't repair your device cause your device is over warranty period ...

Wah, like that also can ar, damn, now im motivated to go look for solution, this is my last laptop from them already sad.gif

is not reseller issue ... i went to lenova office in Penang and this is their response (i never go back reseller)...
worst, when they finally call up, they said they will highlight the issue back to CHina lenova, wondering wtf malaysia do ? why after sales, warranty and customer services need to highlight to manufacturer but not local ......
basically they just playing taichi

push here, push there, in the end they did not even resolve the issue for the customer tongue.gif

they just pushing their responsibility away ..... i do ask them about "refer back to china Lenova", what malaysia Lenova position in malaysia, sell and collect profit ?
when my phone die, i don't mind give lenova second try, but after their PR Official call up, i stop it here .... no more lenova and i will help them to promote ..

Reason i stop Lenova.
1. Poor Warranty system.
2. Poor Customer Service.
3. Poor After Sales service.
4. Worst PR Official. (If the company PR sux, that company is hopeless d)
They have brainless PR official ..... sorry for hard word.

I agree to your reasons, they are really putting their customer a side and only think of profits. oh well, their lost...

Bro, do u have any issue for y50-70 UHD ?

Im facing screen lagging while surfing Google chrome or mozilla, especially scrolling down the facebook page, the video that automatically play is lagging.
Do any1 of u facing the same problem as well? or The software didnt support UHD ?

Hi, I do face issues like that, I think it is due to the scaling issue, you can try to lower the resolution to 1920X1080 and reduce the scaling, you will have less of an issue.
4K on a small screen like this is really not practical. haha.
