I officially changed my Maxis to OPO. Cancelling my other number and sadly have to put my Nexus 5 into the drawer.
I enjoy my Nexus more, but OPO excels in battery. I long time edy didn't bring powerbank. and no worries anymore when using GPS or play COC. 2 days with 5 hours SOT no problem. As the person above me said, me too thinks this is my best purchase in 2014! Heck, I think the best purchase compared to all of my gadgets. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 28 2014, 12:04 PM) Great update from you guys on this phone SOT. I easily got 7 hours SOT, with 24 hours off charger without any tweaks(i went to stock except root and greenify). and still have 20% left.As long as I can get 5-6 hours is good enough for my needs To date best SOT I had experienced is 12-14 hours ( mediapad X1), Mate 7 ( 9-10 hours), LG G Pro2 (7-8 he's) n Note4 (6-7 hours). Cuz, i tweaked and tweaked, i always got around 7-8 hours of SOT so thats enough reason to get back to stock settings. actually 5 hours SOT is more than enough for me in everyday use. Stock CM kernel is honestly quite good. This post has been edited by LuffyPSP: Nov 28 2014, 04:49 PM |

QUOTE(harizdesu @ Nov 28 2014, 05:22 PM) i was on stock kernel for 2 days after i clean flashed my opo.. for 2 days i think stock kernel does give better, slightly better battery life.. but now i'm on franco kernel Yeah i felt that too. Recent franco after 38R is kinda buggy and less battery friendly. End up using stock. But if you want more control, of course best to use custom kernel. QUOTE(mtxx @ Nov 28 2014, 05:32 PM) i use 44S and no random reboot even once since i started using. Probably cuz i dirty flashed only. That random reboot was rare though. Like once a week. Must be because of some apps. as for battery, every one has the same capacity, the SOT you get depends on your apps installed and usage pattern. QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 28 2014, 05:57 PM) I bought it. But never used it. Everything stock. I even have all of the toggles turned on. Nfc, BT, LTE. QUOTE(lukeroku @ Nov 28 2014, 06:54 PM) My phone if open instagram then facebook will also turned up (checked with greenify) I only greenify Facebook, and never allow Wake Up and keep awake for Google play services in privacy settings. I dun use Google now and also turned of location settings. I do put High accuracy for the location/gps tho. still have perfect deep sleep only with these settings. Anything to check/tweak ? I removed Xposed framework edy btw. And btw, the reception really make a lot of difference. I will worst drain if my signal is low. When that happens, I will have like 5 hours sot only. Best reception, 6-7 sot depending on how long I left my phone off the charger. |

QUOTE(akira87 @ Nov 28 2014, 09:05 PM) Different people have diff view on this, IMO it will give some extra performance. Yeah sometimes I plug in my phone to speaker. So less SOT on that day. 5hrs SOT is above average already. Average is 4-5hrs SOT for 95% battery usage. Mine always around 4hrs Actually I care less and less about sot edy. It became very normal to me to have 60% before I went to sleep with 2 hours SOT. Peace of mind. That's why less tweak of for me. Just having fun using my phones. |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 28 2014, 11:26 PM) That's really impressive result bro with only disable google play wakelock under privacy. And true, signal strength is the main culprit that deciding battery life. My are here quite sucks, so usually my unit has shorter batt on Sat & Sun because not working. Yeah if my phone have LTE reception, it wont be full bars. Best was 3 bars. Usually its 2-1 bars. BUt nevertheless, end of the day, 4 hours SOT with 13 hours off the charger seals the deal for me to be a daily driver, with 40+ battery left. |

QUOTE(andyjyneo @ Nov 29 2014, 04:15 AM) More and more bad news about OnePlus. just be happy with the current OnePlus One right now. dont be worried about future. If the next One Plus (Two?) didnt come with CM, i will obviously pass~ and look for other options. easy as that.First, they quarrelled with CM. Source Now, OnePlus One launched in India without CM logo. Source I wonder what will happen in Malaysia in future. in the mean time, nothing happens to our current phones. use it to the max, and live life to the fullest. haha! |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 1 2014, 10:49 AM) Regarding the reported phone 3G/LTE issues based on my usage ( Celcom postpaid), this 1+1 is indeed weaker vs say my Mate7, Note4. It is quite similar to ip6+. The difference in download speeds could be a staggering 5X difference inside my house !! Inside my bedroom I could only get EDGE while is H+ and sometimes even LTE on my Note4 or Mate7 Agreed on this. Recently I changed my simcard back to my Nexus 5. Signal is lot more better~Tried both Maxis and Digi in OPO, definitely weaker, big margin of differences. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 1 2014, 11:02 AM) In one kopitiam in Subang Jaya near DialogHub : I tested the OPO download was 17-20 Mbps vs 40-46 Mbps on my Mate7. Both phones using same telco Celcom. Similar differences noted too at various parts in KL. Back home I tested it with my other Note4 and similarly weaker signals on OPO. However I can live with it except if one wish to download stuffs onto phone I would do it on my other 2 phones instead I just use my PC~ QUOTE(xxdesire @ Dec 1 2014, 11:02 AM) no no, go away~~ no off topic. hahaha |
