One should use back to noot rom + boeffla kernel - others rom I'm too sure. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Battery life issues solved !!
Hello everyone , I tested like 10 Roms and found that none had the battery life like that of stock rom. i.e i used to get 3hrs of SOT duhh ! Then i saw that my friend gets 3hrs and 50 mins of SOT at a very heavy use , and something struck me , that my battery was not calibrated due to flashing Roms . So , now i decided to address this battery issue , not by just calibrating , i did some reading actually a lot of reading about kernels and then tweaked my Boeffla kernel ( ON BACK TO N00T ) . I know that calibrating can be done by getting ur phones battery down to 0% and then charging it to a 100% , i did that 100 times in a day but this method didn't help me that much SO THESE ARE THE STEPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE BATTERY , WITHOUT SACRIFICING PERFORMANCE !! STEPS ARE AS FOLLOWS :- ( USING BACK TO N00T V6 + BOEFFLA KERNEL 7.5 ) 1 - Download this particular applicationhttps://play.google.com/store/apps/d...erycalibration "your device should be rooted " 2- Open the app and click the calibrate button and grant root privileges ( CALIBERATE TWICE ) . 3- After calliberating take your back cover off and remove your battery and insert it again. 4- Boot up your phone . 5- Flash Boeffla kernel . ( http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/sgs3/boef...ies%207.x/7.5/ ) 6- Install the Boeffla config app ( http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/bc/) 7- Under governor use zzmove and use profile as battery plus ( this governor uses the Hotplug functionality of our Exynos 4412 very well hence saving a lot of battery. ) 8- The Go to "DISPLAY + LED " and under touch boost select the touch boost frequency to 400 Mhz 9 - Under Miscellaneous got to "LOGGING" and turn off both "Android logger and kernel logger " ( They are not important unless you are a DEVELOPER and need logcats ). These are the tweaks that today give me an excellent battery life ( SOT = 3 HRS and 40 Minutes at a very heavy use + all time data is kept on " I hope that your battery will also improve . If any questions please do ask .
