My S3 is now with my kid - just flashed B2N v6 + Boeffla Kernel with some tweaks claim to save battery usage under heavy  usage - we'll see how it goes with 7K zerolemon

Guys, need some help.

My friend's unrooted S3 had some problems.

1. Installing some apps wouldn't work. Error 24
2. Installing new apps work.
3. Tried to update the phone through system update as she's still on 4.3
4. Error trying to install it.
5. Bootloop occurs. Can't get pass boot screen.
6. Removing/reattaching phone boots up the phone automatically.
7. VOL + & Home & Power button to recovery doesn't work as it's always stuck on bootscreen.

Any other method to factory reset without PC?

I looked around and found the fix.
As farfetched as it may sound, the phone boots up normally now. The fix? Knock on the power button area with a solid thud. Apparently, S3 have a tendency to have the power button connection lodged inside.

Had her to factory reset and it's a working phone now.
Thanks anyways guys. smile.gif

i hope u dont need to hit the power button every time.
maybe u should avoid using the power button to lock the phone. instead use an app.

Specifically, hitting it with it's own battery will work. tongue.gif
Will tell her to use an app for locking the phone then. smile.gif

I asked my friend to root my phone hoping that it can save up some battery.. Im not sure on what kind of rom.. it looks like some Jewish software based on the fonts and wordings.
