any nice stable ROM? ideally with KitKat?
gonna try rooting the s3 (yes, finally planning to do that).
btw, if just flash recovery, no root needed, right? tried flashing TWRP via ODIN but didn't work... weird.
edit1: i think i realise why TWRP not flashed. seems like stock rom will re-write and reinstall stock recovery upon reboot... hmmm...

Guise, My wife's S3 cant connect to pc due to water damage.
Please advise any solution: Software for S3 - to do file/picture/contact backup
or any suggestion. Battery drains really fast. Screen just hang like that.

Screen just hang like that. tq contact backup. if saved to Google/ Gmail, then should be good pictures and files... since you seem to indicate the phone still works, then maybe transfer via microSD card? copy all out. might take time. but if bad water damage, sometimes might be better to dry it inside rice container for a few days first.

Tested CM 12 LOLIpop for 2 days, so far ok XD .. battery life quite ok  even thou belum final release so far ok
