Thinking of buying one.. can anybody help me out on this:
any hands on experience for the LTE band for this phone in Malaysia? whats the max download speed? Can we put the carrier setting to manual? I sometimes roam and don't want the signal to change telcos. Is there any setting for WCDMA only / LTE only ?
hope you guys don't mind sharing this.

Just got back and receive my MX4. Bought it at Lazada during the 12% discount. For a RM956 phone, here's what I have to say:
The LTE signal is strong, the camera picture is superb and fast(this is coming from a normal user). Tested download a movie last night and got around 1.6Mbs download rate which was good enough for me. I am in Bintulu using celcom btw. Battery on my first 100% charge at 7a.m lasted till 2p.m where it was about 20% charge. this is during LTE connectivity. And I was using it mainly on the internet for browsing and chatting. Base on my experience, usually after a few more charge it should last longer. Played marvel champions for a full 15min as well and was quite impressed with the graphic. Watched the Avengers trailer at youtube in HD and was impressed with the sound and pic. No lag so far for me.
For a sub RM1k LTE phone with this screen sized. I am satisfied.
Ok, at 2p.m 20% charge. by 3.30p.m when I come to check its already fully charged. Nice.. seriously guys. 5.2" screen octacore LTE phone at below RM1k, i'm happy for now. Hope this phone won't disappoint in the long run..

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 6 2015, 11:00 AM) Good review. Yes, Lazada has a 10% discount for all purchases if Im not mistaken. Code is Lazada10. Plus free delivery. For now battery lasts for about 8 hours on constant usage, maybe a few minutes of standby only. that is by using it for msging and browsing, and brightness at 50%. So far I am satisfied with this phone cause I paid RM956 for it. used my xiomi portable charger and it ony takes about 2 hours to get it fully charged from 30%. so seriously battery life is adequate for user like me. Just wanna share a tip(I know some of you know this, but for those who don't..), like all android device, if you want to lock the signal at 2g, 3g or lte even, just dial *#*#4636#*#* and you will get the option to do that. just sharing cause I know some QUALCOMM phones have the option straight away at settings. and its really irritating when it goes to 2G just because the LTE signal is only 1bar(which is fast enough). Sorry if i'm overly excited..

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 8 2015, 04:28 PM) The lesser apps running in the background the 'lighter' the ui becomes. If you get what Im trying to say. So far the battery doctor is helping by removing all other apps that's consuming battery and ram.. it seems to do wonders for now. Currently using this bumper case, looks cool as f*ck.. http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/vi.asp?P=158018887&W=2014-12

Still loving this phone. But need some tips. Is there anyway to lock the youtube screen? I usually let my kid watch youtube on this and he'll always touch the screen. On ipad we have the lock button. Some other phone have a small key icon. This one i'm not sure. Any tips.
