QUOTE(Akabane@DrJackel @ Aug 2 2009, 09:48 AM) Bro, if you wanna listen the AD series, we can meet up someday. But for my reference i use AD2000, AD Flagship Wah AD2000 [attachmentid=1113864] Bro, your "CANS" still need to burn in more as my AD2000 (burn in more than 1000 hours) is already in a very well controlled and i don think is lack of bass. But the best pairing for the Amp get the Secret Amp to amp it... tried AD100PRM before but not AD2000, heard ppl say it sounded similar. from my own experience, AD1000PRM is superior in female vocal region where its high is very good. gonna work part time for the next summer holiday to save up enough to get a AD2000 or a W series |

AD series also excels in Female vocal
especially the AD1000PRM and AD2000 But these cost a bomb as they are the highest end can for AD series |

QUOTE(teNtiOn @ Aug 30 2009, 11:42 PM) those are from the reviews i saw from internet previously. before ad700/ad900 become FOTM in head-fi, people tend to recommend only ad2000 in the entire line of audio technica ad series. i never heard any of those but m50 seems to be a better option if you're willing to import from oversea and top up a bit from ad500 (~RM400 as you listed), it should be around RM500. ms1 or similar grado's seems to be a better option as well. PM me if you want to let go your AD2000 i'm using ad2000 right now and feels that it did lack a bit in the bass area and overall body. i dont really know how to describe but i think it's due to it's lean midbass. and if ad700/ad900 really carries less bass like what most reviews said, it will never be enough for pop/rock music unless you listen mostly to jazz and classical imo. |

Just to kill some time as I am too lazy to start writing my assignment
I took these photos during my trip to Singapore's Jaben ![]() ![]() AD1000PRM really impressed me, the mid is very sweet, Female sounded very nice and forward without sacrificing the sounstage. I bet AD2000 would be even more impressive. |

QUOTE(Fred86 @ Sep 13 2009, 06:25 PM) If you are looking for a awesome dac+amp combo, HA INFO NG27 is a good choice at cheaper price. Try to see the spec, material and the opamp use, then you will get a briefly idea how is the quality of the amp. Currently i am pairing the dac with Secret Amp http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1150360&hl=ng27 Added on September 13, 2009, 6:27 pm It is also my final plan but will be many years after i come out to work. Currently stick with the AD900. Kumanosuke, you get a dac from huangyong right? What amp you are pair with the dac? when the amp run out of battery, i will just plug my headphone into the dac and control the volume by using Foobar |
