It seems not many people heard of ATH-CK6 and not many as well... so I am just going to post some pictures as well as some of my personal review.... (please note that this is just base on my own personal preference of music and listening pleasure. I do not have other IEM to compare with except with my w800 IEMs... tried the creative one too in some shop)

first of all the packaging.....

A simple plastic box. Not the hard type like case. Is just a normal box made of hard plastic like those you see hanging around when you buy earphones.

Inside the box.....

the open box reveals a laminated cardboard type and you open from the bottom. Everything is written in japanese so I have no idea what it says. Which they would at least put a little booklet of English stuff.

and another plastic box for the iem and the extras...

the iem...

Aluminium housing. Nice and light it is very light. Dont feel a thing when wearing it. The first time I carried it out of the box its so fragile and weightless. I was kinda disappointed with the neck as it is the Y type. Wonder why this IEM are made Y and not the loop form where you can hang at the back of your neck. The mini jack very small kinda cool in a way but its kinda hard to plug in and out as it feels fragiles especially if you got big fingers. Till now I have been pluging in and out without problem. Thats a good thing but still I do not dare to be careless with it.

The size of this iem is small as you can see...

the extra sleeves...

two types... have its own size each type... One type is roundish, that will be the black one and the other one is ovalish as you can see. Also note that the iem lil speaker is ovalish

and the so call loop support....

for the extra support if you need it...

not forgetting the pouch

The pouch quality is just so so. I tot it would be a better quality than this. It is the hard material kind so there is fear that it might scratch the IEM.. so far no such scratches so its ok... I think it makes putting the iem in and out easily.... I wish that they provide some form of casing, that will be nice as it will give the extra protection while stowing it the pocket or the bag.

Review...

The sound quality is good (of course...) I like music that has strong back of bass and have nice crisp sound with a nice body... Well this IEM gave me just that. At first when I got it the bass was quite strong and the highs seems to be little. After burning it in... everything seems to fall to place.. I got that nice rounded bass and crispy sound as well. Sound stage is quite good as I can feel the depths if I Eq it right.

Tried the Creative one but its too bassy and kinda muffled...

I was using the stock IEM that comes with w800.. it was a good iem till the neck kinda torn due to the material. I was looking for something that can come close to this IEM as I find that this one tho is free it gives me the right amount of bass... the highs are not that clear...

I dont think I can compare ck6 with stock iem of w800. so nothing to compare... like kancil and bmw...

I got no portable headphone amps to test it out but I use the Creative X-Fi Fatality edition with the front console. Well... It gives better sound staging and crisp and bass... Thats what i think. I use some wave file for testing sound system a mixture of breaking glass and storm and music.... Well the result... my ears loved it... I used this to burn in the iem.

My best iem so far because its the only one I got beside my w800 one... hehe...
Hope this helps...
