who's w5k? which amp he paired it with? i'm poisoned here too.

w5k is not a person la, it's a headphone. Currently my dream cans but no maney.

Hahaha! yewp its my W5k powered by the Gmod via a puny 2AAA Tomahawk. its quite surprizing how well the Tommy synergized with the W5k. O btw guyz, the Tomahawk u guyz listened to last sunday was at its worse as the battery died on tues (only afew hrs after the meet). u should listen to it now with fresh batteries   . the W5k driven well is quite a sight to behold  

no shop bud. just happen to live in Cheras closeby Leisure Mall. Give me some headsup time and i can meet u at Starbucks Leisure Mall. will only cost u a cuppa cafe latte. No extra charge to hold my hands.

btw, i got my W5k from S'pore too. it goes for S$1.3k so u do the math. if u are really really interested in buying my W5k, shoot me a PM and we can discuss that. its best u make the trip down to cheras to have a listen.

i think it's 799 from price of akabane dr jacker.

isolation = great , very not bad. while i try. akabane talk also ican't listen at all, fan at speed 5 also cannot hear at all, even the headphone is on low volume..

comfort = great, one of the best compare to what i have. as comfort as HP890..        
Live performance = great, one of the best i ever had listen. i will rate it below W5K nevertheless. but it's close enough for the price you pay for it.
speed of headphone = great, punchy, yet not boomy.... very accurate sound.. even though i enjoyed im716 i don't feel this is anythings inferior compare to im716.. HD580 on the other hand is not accurate.. bass is boomy. fat, and less power. it's like the player of kick drum had been starving.... and the drum impact is totaly not there, drum is very far from you.. no energy, nor quantity..
treble / mid = i will rate it as good as HD580. with the treble more sparkle, not as silky as hd580. mid, M50 is more accurate, but HD580 is more enjoyable.
on live concert recording. it's un-forgetable
and it doesn't need an amp to sound that nice.
my HD580 get pawned badly yesterday. but i do hope with proper amp my HD580 can sound better...              
M30 VS M50..
M30 is inferior in a lot, bass, isolation, comfort (m30 use cloth pad, while m50 use leather that same as ES7)speed, accuracies.
even the built quality.........
i won't surprise if some one said he drop a M50 from 3rd floor and the headphone still steady..

i would say....

2 different kind of signature, i don't dare to say which one better, coz both are great phones...jz which kind of signature u liked? m50 is seriously good for a balance headphone, it doesn't EQ anything but do very well on every single aspect, ES7 have a very sweet mid-ranges with unforgettable sound(actually i like ES5 better due to some reason)...when the time walabies test ES7. he is shock, i think same way he test m50, he will be shock as well..

Any tips on care for the headphones? i read on some thread here that the rubber layer at the cups will tend to peel off if exposed to sweat, which is what happened to my previous Sony headphones
