Well, a good rule of thumb would be the price. I'd stay away if the price was fishy. If its too good to be true, then normally is best to stay away. nod.gif

Woah... Liddat ah. blink.gif sweat.gif
Then best to buy from the popular shops from there(HK), one is Mingo and the other one I cannot remember dee. doh.gif
I visited both these shops when I was there(HK) last time. Very nice shops. Small, but got lots of stuff. As far as I could tell, they were ori stuff lah, but then again I wasn't there to specifically check for fakes, so wasn't actively looking. rolleyes.gif

Good thing there is info out there on how to tell the fakes from the real ones then.
I'm personally not worried though, I get my AT/Japanese stuff direct from Japan. tongue.gif whistling.gif

^ If you want that item, I can probably get it for you from Japan for about RM600 or so.
But, IIANM, the release date for that is only December 18. PM me if you're interested. smile.gif

Look out for the pouch, its the most obvious thing. Ori one has a nice fluffy grey bag. nod.gif

Well, since you guys love the AD2000 soo much but say that budget is a problem, let me know (PM so you don't mess up this thread) if any of you are interested in a used AD1000. I know of one that is in very good condition in Japan and is selling for RM988. Seems like a reasonable price to me. unsure.gif

Akabane might be able to shed some light on how the AD1000 compares to the AD2000 since I have no experience with the AD1000 (I dunno if he has tried the AD1000 though).

All I know is I LOVE the AD2000. wub.gif Its an awesome headphone.
If any of you manage to try the W11jpn... hehehe... now THAT is a headphone which is awesome for female vocals. brows.gif
Probably the best headphone for that genre. nod.gif
