I dropped my camera and somehow it hit against a wooden chair. Not sure how big the impact was, but it was able to make the lens cap drop off. So far the camera can still function normally but how to know if there's any long term damage to it? Im going overseas to take pix soon, that's why I'm worried.

The camera is a mirrorless DSLR, Sony NEX 3N.

If it works, no issues. smile.gif Furthermore it's mirrorless so you have less stuff to worry, like the mirror and shutter.

Just give it a run, see if the stabilizer and whatever else still working. Cameras aren't that fragile.

if lens attached on camera
turn the zoom ring and focus ring, see the ring movement still smooth? any crack on the glass?
check the focus, only worry is off focus due to lens element moved.

i once drop a S90 from 3rd floor to road surface, the camera still function, only battery cover loosen

the lens would be something you need to check carefully.

one of my friend once dropped his 50D+15-85mm lens from tripod at around eye level. the 50D suffered from hotshoe and flash malfunctioning.

the 15-85's alignment was really off after the drop, only right side of the frame remains sharp while the left side is super blurry with CA even though focused on flat surface.
