Containers can stack up to 5 level if I'm not wrong, but container houses are for simplicity and minimalism. Why want to build 2 storeys right?

Shipping containers are designed to be stacked up to 12 high, IINM. but there are proper stowage method and you gotta use proper lashings such as twistlocks and turnbuckles. Turning the container into a home and cutting it up for windows, doors, etc. will surely reduce some of it strengths though.
