Many IT fellow dont work in bank unless they aim for the benefit such as housing loan and car loan and some other benefit. But for you as a clerk or anything, is good to start from the beginning, bank have alot of opportunity for you to learn and also for you as a starter.

Try get some courses and also try to learn up some skill to add value to yourself. No one can help you, the world is materialistic, so, you need to help yourself, brush out your skill.

Nobody is qualified to answer this question except yourself. Others just can give you advice and information regarding it while you decide it yourself after all it is your future career starting point which somehow may shape up your eventually life.
Never rely on others to decide your future.

that's very true,we can show the big picture for you, but in the end of the day, it's still up to you whether to take it or not,it's you job and your future. it's not our liability to decide for you.
you are 25 already, old enough to make your own decision.you dont want people to tell you what to do for the rest of you life isn't it?

if you dont mind the salary, it's a good starting point, then in the mean time you can study parttime course such as IT or business management course or whatever course you like. competition is very high now a days, if you dont upgrade your self, other people will step forward and left you behind, again, it's the survival for the fittest.

try to job hunt for more opportunities with the same title if you insist to work as general clerk, try to get the information from other banks, they wont bite if you ask questions.

Yea, i think you are like majority that have the same problem. Dillema...

I have that experience too, that is why I know how you feel. Also I find out alot of people cant really decide what is the best job suit them either the best companion to get marry to. Is your gf or wife your ideal one? I dont think most of them would say YES. There is nothing perfect. Enough of that say, I think most probably if you are looking for a job, if you dont have other option, and your instict tell you that this job is not what you want or like, than just go get the job you like, else you will be complaining and start to flipping newspaper or browse job again. Take a paper out, tell yourself, what you want, what you want from the job, what you wanna learn, what is your career you are looking for?. Sometimes is not about money, is about achievement and interest, dont get regret that you have enter the wrong field, because we do not have so many 10 years to waste, choose wisely, no one can help you. Try look into yourself, because the one that really understand you is yourself.

All the best ~~ No matter what is your decision, there is always a better ways.

You have a diploma in E&E, why not further upgrade it some more.

This is personally how I feel. Money is the most important factor here, do you need the money and is your family situation in need of money? If yes, then I believe that you should take the offer. From my limited experience and from what I hear from friends, foregin banks definately pay better than locals. However, the politics over there is also greater.

If u work in the bank, u should consider enrolling in a local college/Open Uni for some diploma or degree in banking/finance since ur interest is there. However, due to age you MUST be sure this is the path u want. Because after this ur E&E wont be that useful.

Instead of going to bank, why not further ur E&E or join the industry.Imagine u've spend 4 years on your degree and now u want to work in a bank? It doesn make a big difference with a spm holder because u don't have any knowledge and skill of bank at all? They might only give uu rm 1.2k.But u're 25.If u go for any E&E job provided u have experience,2.5k ++ is not a problem.
