I have noticed this

My phone automatically switches to 3G when its just connected (aka Idle). It quickly switches back to HSDPA whenever there is activity. If its just there sitting , it goes back to UTMS...I think its a 'smart' way of persevering bandwidth
*
Yes, my modem odo swiched to UMTS when IDLE, sometimes DC trus.. then bile open new internet browser, connected back with HSDPA mode wink.gif

maxis wired broadband and wireless to me are like "langit dan bumi"

my 1mbps maxis wired broadband at my home in rawang can:
-torrent 24hours
-play online games with stability
-download without worrying packet loss
-connect at the same speed anytime without worrying the 5~7pm and 10pm~12am busy hour (maxis wireless shares the same bandwidth as those 3g phone iianm)
-uploading without worrying upload failure (due to slow upload speed)
but if u prefer portability, maxis wireless is your choice.right now the speed is improving, and my fren said yesterday he was able to torrent some movies during the day, which means they didnt block the torrent.will confirm it tomoro.
*
Bro, what online games do you play..?
