here's mine,although wired, but just wanna inform the speed is back to normal

hmm im still consider that as the best latency i can get normaly and for the download speed i was so shock normal got it around 300-500 kb/s

my wan still cannot access the Internet until today , do anyone have the same problem with maxis wireless BB

Good:
1. No username and password.Just plug and play
2. Very fast connection (HSDPA only. tested speed up to 1.6mbps)
3. Built in battery. Last 3 hour fully charge.
4. Easy to configure modem
5. Fast streaming in YouTube. lol


Bad:
1.Big size modem...
2.Battery overheat prob and can cause modem housing start to melt
3.3GB cap per month.Using more than limit, maxis will charge extra.
4.P2P and torrent block.
5.Modem must put beside window for optimum signal.
6.Power supply unreliable. sometime , if you lucky, you will get very faulty power supply.
7.HIdden charge apply..
8.Unstable internet connection. sometime worse than 56k modem.

Conclusion
I have bad experience with this broadband. I already cancel this package and stick with my screamyx package..
My 1st impression, this service is cool but the real thing its sux. Too much problem with modem, connection and also too much hidden charge.

- slow browse specially international pages.
-dream on to play online game etc wow , 2moons <<super freaking lag 2kms latency accept for those local online game like jx2,mapple still playable but for dota flying spaghetti monster ?? dream on dude !!
-slow dl and upload >> i test a dl with bt one files music etc 2pac song take me around 8-10 minute for one song. watch video clip or youtube? take around 3-5minute just to watch it without stop... stop..
-if u not active or leave your com while the connection on it will auto disconnect and u need to plug on and off your modem.
-alot more trouble than make u happy. ( w/o i stress with maxis wireless bb i FREAKING more stress..

im going to maxis centre on monday to meet them and complain. Before i apply for this plan i ask them several question since i told them im a online game player so can i play online games like im using a streamxy?? etc wow or any online game from us or maybe japan (base server) oh.. the guy and gurl(promoter) tell me why not? sure u can.. and if lag..it will not bad as streamxy.. the conclusion?? STREAMXY SLOW??? MAXIS WIRELESS FREAKING SLOW.. SAY NO TO STREAMXY?? SAY FREAKING NO TO MAXIS WIRELESS

fyi, im always connected to hsdap. two days after i apply when i try wow with it .. the latency was so good 400-700ms still playable and better than my fren who using streamxy 600-900ms latency.. now?? 2kms or if u lucky maybe can reach 25k ms latency <<world record

my office 8th floor at damasara heigh now very slow compare with 2 weeks ago

This is even worst then JARING. At least JARING you can get something (at least around 3-10Kb/s) , but then Maxis drops it completely. Your torrent will be completely 0Kb/s untill around 1 in the morning then it starts to pick up. Before that it will be 0...Oh yeah a guy told me here about that, a first i refused to believe . Then With my own eyes I've witness the whole thing. The torrent speed was 0Kb/s , but then sharp 1 AM , bam it started to pickup...till around 6 AM

Hi, something to share with all existing and future maxis WBB....

BACKGROUND:
I've got my Maxis WBB on a cash and carry terms (RM100) at the
Curve 15 days ago. I'm staying in Desa ParkCity (Kepong) condo sitting
at the 19th floor.

THE TEST:
My expectation was low as I did not plan to do any BT and i consider
myself as a "light" BB user, but as soon as i got it back to my apartment
i went crazy surfing for software, MP3 and most of all... BT!!!! I've yet to Discon since Day 1 and the Torrenting has not stop ever....

THE RESULTS:

SpeedTest.Net indicates an average of d/l@90kb/s and u/l@35kb/s
during daytime & average of d/l@150kb/s and u/l@39kb/s during 1am till 6am period.

However, BT is really stable sitting at average of 45kB/s daytime and an
amazing 80kB/s at night (Bear in mind that these torrents are low peers
torrent). Max BT speed is at 155kB/s (constant for 4 hours, still cannot
determine the real contributor to max-out at all times).

(Note: The key factor for high-rise condo users is that you need to
enhance the anttenna for the ZTEMF600 using this link:

PROBLEM:

I've just found out abt the new RM138 pm Maxis USB connection
package.... and 3.5Mbps is really attractive together with the sexy
pocket size modem (comparing to ZTEMF600:sucks!), therefore i know
i needed a plan to CHANGE....

SOLUTION:
I went to Maxis KLCC at 4pm today and I told them my 50true/50untrue
story:

I told them that the sales team at the Curve promise me a free upgrade
from the existing package and that i can use the ZTE while waiting for
the new USB, i also told them that i've only found out about the 18 months tied-up yesterday thru the hotline operator. I pinpointed that as
this is cash & carry, Maxis CANNOT NOT ENFORCE FIX CONTRACT unlike
ASTRO where you request installation. I was making a scene at the new
USB WBB counter and the Manager finally shows up and apologized for
the confusion. He claims that because Maxis sub out the sales to agents
and they should be the one responsible for the misunderstanding. But
i told them that the "agents" were wearing Maxis T-shirts and Maxis Banner all over the place. The crowd there (potential Maxis WBB user) agrees with me. The manager gave in and ask me to return the old modem tomorrow morning in exchange for the USB type. Wish me luck tomorrow.

CONCLUSION:
If you pay, you are the consumer. If not happy, Consumer can make
noise. If make noise, Noise must be heard by EVERYBODY. Therefore,
go to Maxis KLCC at peak hour (2pm till 5pm) if you wanna be heard.

I've just shifted to Maxis WBB USB 3.5Mbps from the lame ZTEMF600... I've got "great speed" during the first hour
but after optimizing some registry and stuff, the speed drop back to a 768k performance... still new alot of optimization...
