What do we actually get by buying the DLC? Apart from the new raid

I initially thought the new gears are for those who bought the dlc but I learn that you dont have to buy the dlc to get the gears.

Is the new strikes only for those who get the DLC?

Nope you can't, but you can still pickup the DLC bounty from the new NPC.

Ah ok, that answers my initial question earlier about what content you get from the DLC.

I'm guessing some of the raging is due to the nightfall/weekly being the dlc strike.

Also apparently you can't do the 26 strike playlist without dlc. I'm not on ps4 can't check atm.

To reiterate your question, the DLC only opens to you the strikes and the raid which of course included the raid gears. Anything else is open to non DLC purchasers

That sucks. I've got friends who are not interested in raids and so chose not to buy DLC. Now they can't play nightfall. Ah well.

I see, we are locked from weekly heroic and nightfall strike too, but still have access to VoG. But IMO there is no point getting the DLC if you haven't even achieve level 30 yet. Am I correct?

You can now get to 31 with the new vanguard gears, DLC not needed for this.

Oh boy can't wait to play the new Raid.. I see a few other playing already lol..

Probably only the dark below strike nightfall though, the normal strikes nightfall can be accessible if in rotation.

if they locked the normal strikes nightfall then i think it's a really bad decision.

Vanguard gears? You mean the ordinary one from the tower where we buy with vanguards marks?

vanguard gears will have 33 lights
