Go to the Malaysia Tourism Centre at Jln Ampang (same row as Zouk).
I heard there's a fair there.
Nikon D80 body + 1gb SD for RM3650.

your reply doesnt help in anyway .... i did do my research but since im an amateur , i dont know what to find . all i know it fits D200 and presumeably fits the D80 .

if u have seen my other post , i think i stated i was a noob there . and besides , since im getting the camera , so no harm asking and reconfirming right ?

P/S : Since you're so pro , mind explaining the basics of DSLR then. tongue.gif

a dslr is a digital single lens reflex camera. in layman's term it allows u to see what your lens is seeing unlike compact cameras through the viewfinder. 2ndly, u can change lenses. but since companies have different lens mounts for their cameras n lenses, not everything is compatible.

in nikon's case, almost all the lenses produced in the last 20 years can be mounted on any dslr. i hope this helps you but buying a dslr without even knowing the basics is a not advisable. dslrs aren't that easy to use and the cost.

since u're getting a d80.. i'll do a sum up for u. the body is around 3600 plus another 2800 for your 18-200. then there's other lenses, macro, wide angle, fish eyes, etc etc. there's tripods too with at the least would set u back a few hundred. external flash?sb-800 isn't that cheap either.i've not gone in filters, storage cards, camera bags, etc.. u willing to invest so much money in something u don't know?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DSLR extra info for u here. there's abundant info on the net. please do look up

i neva said i'm a pro, but i think i'd at least i do my own research on infos. no offense.
i'm just another noob, poor ol man who still shoot on flim slr.

having interchangeble lens is one of dslr's feature. and nikon have been using the F-mount since film days till 2day on their digital bodies. Generally, any Nikon Autofocus lens will work fine on these cameras. Most older, manual focus, lenses can be mounted, but the camera's internal exposure meter will not work.

yeah, my post doesn't help, but ur posts shows that ur just waiting to b spoon fed with infos. ur like ready to splurge money on something that is expensive without getting in depth information. calling urself a noob/amateur is just an excuses, the internet is for u to exploit it.

scorgio's post which i found myself quite agreeing to it:

Photography is not as simple as many perceived. Although digital made is easy to learn. Evident from the numerous ad which pops out everyday, eg 2-3 months old dSLR for sale etc.

And dSLR's not cheap either, a used unit is almost a fresh grad's 1 month salary. So if u want to venture into photography, ask urself several questions.
1) Are u really THAT interested?
2) Do u know the basics of photography.
3) Are u financially stable?
4) What're ur interest? ie. What do u like to shoot/shoot most often. A lot of people spent a fortune on lens collection. But most of them are kept in dry box & hardly see sunlight.
