Hi all masters here...
 I dono much of ICE stuffs. All i know is 2 front speakers, 2 back speakers, 1 subwoofer, 1 amp..and HU. I want a trustable, quality, durable n budget ICE. Anyone can recommend? Plsssss.s.s..... *I dont think i wanna install my HU ..coz im having KENWOOD mp3 player". Really wish to know what specs should i go for... For your budget, get a decent(if you want better stuff, get used) 4-channel, a decent front component set, and also a subwoofer will do, skip the rear speakers, or if you want, stick wif your stocks powered by the HU.
But if your budget is 1.5k excluding install and cabling, you could work out a pretty decent setup. For some example: Front components: some decent 6.5" components like the PHD CF6.1(new for RM650-700) Amp: Not too sure about this, but set aside at least half your budget for this(though i know some guy who has an Orion XTR450 for sale at about RM800) Subwoofer: Some MTX or Kicker that works well with about 250Wrms and sealed box, i know some dude who's selling his Type-R Alpines for about RM300 each. IMO, for audio setups, it'll only turn out nicely if you don't rush and slowly shop for good bargains(i don't call shopping from those lelong sites as bargains though, you'll never know when you actually bought authentic or fakies) |

Actually 1.5k CAN actually get a pretty decent setup. Just a matter of waiting and taking time to assemble all the parts needed, especially if you get used.

i would say get a HU around 500+/-

u carry ppl around wif u? juz forget 'em.. u can't hear the back speakers.. connect it to the HU and hopefully that ur unit can switch them on or off whenever u like..

maybe u wanna try using the cap ayam of mine.. the different was hell a lot.. it amazed me how a short cable can do such a difference... he! he! the cap ayam i used to use was rm50+-... but i did upgrade this @ the 3rd level.. cz got extra budget |

buy a 4 channel amp..
first 2 channel u use it to power ur front components and the other 2 u use it to move ur woofer start wif ur component first bcz it is more important than only come to ur amp.. the rest u left then onli plan for ur woofer.. try getting those components from the forum (garage sales- automotive section) o zth.. there r good quality components selling @ quite cheap price.. installation u can find our brother howiechoo.. he! he! |

that time was nearby rm1k.. now price drop liao.. it is a good 1 for beginner.. highly recomemded for ur tight budget but yet this speakers still performs well from ordinary rm400+/- speakers.. |

normal size for the component's tweeter is 1" and mid is 6.5"..
it is best 2 take 6.5" cz it will produce more bassy sound.. there r also 4", 5.25", 5.5", 6" and 6.5".. |

u get better power wif 4gauge cable.. 8 gauge also boleh and i'm using it too.. for sure 4 gauge works better.. if u plan 2 put the amp below ur seat then 8awg is enough..
and wat amp r u planning 2 use? some of the chapalang amps onli support 8gauge if it is, then the installer need 2 make the 4 gauge cable 2 8 gauge.. |

wat i got from there a USamp 4 channel for rm250, low end but im really suprise by the sound a pheonix gold 12max sub 200!! box cost me 150 n tat is edi xpensive. a vandan plas 2x100w rms competition amp, they pump tat bass!! 280 i think a electronic x-over, 3 way with band pass rm300, brand earthquake, diy burrbrown n all i can say is wow! wat i get from jalan pasar, 1 pair of mids 175 i think, 1 pair of tweeters, guest wat, 20, lousy tweeter? guest again, it will smoked any component sets tweeter tat cost rm700, its smooth n not bright, the highs r high enof but not piercing! only thing is its big. rm1,380 total, cabling, i use network cable. |

when see the topic...i suddenly got 1 question since the budget is tight, can we use the stock HU for example, satria neo if just add front component set and 2 channel amp without change the HU, is it will better than the stock sound quality??? |
