Doesn't feel like it will earn me lots of money, or maybe i'm still fresh in the industry. It is just my second year in IT industry.
Does experience earn you money ?, Let's talk about it

yes experience really get you hired and it does really makes a different to your salary too.
it works in every single job. from the sales assistant in some cloth shop, waiter in a restaurant, to the very top manager of a company. just look at the job advertisement , most of them say X years of experience required in the same field is a must,or atleast it's says will be an advantage, coz now a days, you really can get fresh graduate everywhere, the subject they study is also almost the same, what really differentiate/separate them are experience. |

QUOTE(amateur @ Sep 15 2006, 10:38 AM) Doesn't feel like it will earn me lots of money, or maybe i'm still fresh in the industry. It is just my second year in IT industry. Everyone can learn, but most importantly, it is how you apply the knowledge to create value hence the term, applied knowledge. Good employers sought for what you have/can do with your knowledge rather than what you know. There is a fine line having and applying. This post has been edited by whtrader: Sep 15 2006, 04:25 PM |

Working 10 years in a compnay without gaining anything, earn you nothing.
Experience should not be rated from the number of years you work in a company. |

yepz~ one's kenot compare experience with salary... these r 2 diff thingy...
for example, u've work for that particular co. for 10 years and u earn nothing but tat doesnt mean u gain nothing. u do gain knowledge on what we so called xperience. the reason most of us said we earn nothing throughout our working life is mostly due to salary aspect and not xperience. if we said we earn nothing as in xperience, then we r dumb enuf to hav work in that particular co. for 10 years or so. however, xperience can be an important element to be consider by the employer on whether to raise our paid or not... and if u feel that u have worked for long enuf and u deserve a higher paid due to ur xperience then u must strive for it orelse move on to a new co. |
