QUOTE(homosapien8888 @ Jan 11 2015, 05:50 PM)
i am cheated by this uob promotion
there was a promotion if u spend more than 10k within 1/10/14-31/11/14
u will get a coffee marker for the 1st 500 spender

my transaction hit 10k on the 1st week it self.

please dont tell me more than 500 ppl hit 10k in just a few day. unless the buying power of malaysian suddenly become so good in that few day.

uob really cannot be trusted. i had called the CS, said my name is not in the winner list

if i have use amex, i will have get cash value about rm 200( 5x point) + rm50 for weekend = rm250.

n their petrol rebate only up to day 10 of the month

just a word of caution for u guys

i am gtg to cancel the card in this few day.

good bye uob.

i never trusted their campaigns since the CNY 2014 promotion..
luckily that was just RM100 though..
since then, whatever sh*t campaigns they promote i don't bother to see anymore..

oh btw, even the UOB friend introduce friends campaign they were trying to cheat me..
i introduced my friend, but never get the rebate until i called to the CS to ask, which i was sure my friend applied via me and get it approved already..
they pretend to be stupid and said the sh*tty system is not updated yet, i think if i did not call to CS, i won't receive any rebates from the campaign.

i spent enough for last year on the first day of the week but didnt get the rebate last year.
when complained, CS said the maximum already reached, even on the first day.
and there is no need for them to inform us based on the rule below:

i knew their cheat before, not gonna repeat it this time.

if you check my last year's comments, i also faced the same thing with you. that time they don't require sms registration to participate. many people spent but don't know about that promo. so they didn't give the cb thinking that i also not aware of that promo. i complained to the cs and they told me the same thing like yours. but i scolded them cheating because i used it on the first day and in the morning of two consecutive promo week (rm500+rm300). they lodge a complaint and i received my rm80 cb later on. after that incident, they required sms registration for their promo and so it's even easier for me to get (i got without any problem this time) because lesser competition due to many not aware of the promo or many don't register for it. now this promo comes again (and with higher cb 20% compared to just 10% last time) but i still haven't receive the sms... sad.gif
*
i complained but since the CS said that, i knew their trick..
if everytime their promotion require me to call to CS to complain to get the cashback, i rather ignore that kind of promotion..
tired of calling and wasting my time talking to them..

i have just called to UOB Call Centre. 2 things I've asked and confirmed:
1. Petrol rebate is only applicable for the petrol stations within Malaysia.
2. Smart Cash Rebate is capped at RM8 per month for Petrol. No capping for other merchants.

Time to say goodbye for UOB one card.. anyone disagree?

im a bhp petrol pumper.. so for me 5+2% cash back is best for me atm biggrin.gif
without the capping of RM900k, then it seems to be much better for me now..
p/s: i didnt pump much per month.. haha..

after 1st June, weekday pumping petrol at BHP will get 2% cashback + 2% smart cashback = 4% cash back, right?
weekend will be 5% + 2% = 7%?

im thinking is there any card better than 4% if i really need to pump during a trip on weekdays, sometimes..

hlb wise, citibank cb plat,..

QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ May 23 2015, 12:56 PM)
Actually if you have BHP eCard, your effective rebate would be 4.9%. Add another 0.9% (550 epoints for RM5 petrol)

If you are still not satisfied like me, just use Wise card for petrol on weekdays icon_rolleyes.gif
*
hlb wise.. need to spend 10x RM50 to get the rebate.
actually i dont swipe that much of RM50s per month..
i usually pump only twice per month actually..
only sometimes go to travel then only i might need to pump on weekdays...

citibank.. need to accumulate cashback to RM50 only can get the rebate...
too long to wait..??
