QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 6 2015, 07:35 AM) Guys, may I know what is this GST Cash Back: 01 April 2015 | 01 April 2015 | GST CASH BACK | 8.76CR Cash back for 20% cash back campaign. Can you check whether you have any transaction from 2nd March to 8th March? Because based on my experience, I swiped on 10th Feb, the cash back is reflected on 9th March; meaning the cash back takes about 4 weeks to be credited. If yes then this will the be the cash back for week 7. This post has been edited by kelvinlzy: Apr 6 2015, 11:21 AM

victorywpThere is a card member from cari forum stated that he swiped his one card at Watson Vintage Point outlet in Penang but is not entitled for 2% rebate due to the registration of the MCC code of departmental store instead of pharmacy. So he got only 0.3% rebate. The bank terminal is MBB, just like all other outlets.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 7 2015, 03:15 PM) if that's what uob's excuse for not giving the 2% rebate, i think uob is bullshitting again. i don't think uob system is based on mcc code. they specifically putting guardian, watsons, and caring for pharmacy category. if it's based on mcc code, many other pharmacy entitled for the 2% too. i tried last time at aa pharmacy but not entitled. same for the grocery only to tesco, aeon big, giant, cold storage, and jaya grocer. i tried at mydin not entitled although all these under grocery mcc code. conclusion: as long as you swiped at those places (guardian, watsons, caring, tesco, aeon big, giant, cold storage, jaya grocer, etc.) as advertised by uob, uob must give the 2% rebate. Agreed. Getting tired of uob's bs...

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 7 2015, 03:30 PM) uob always like to bs as usual. last month they charged me gst rm50. i requested for them to absorb. they said gst must be paid by customer. i told them last year they absorbed the gst rm50 so i expect the same for this year. they said that is last year's promo only, this year don't have anymore. i said "come on, please stop all this nonsense. last year the rm50 gst is absorbed after i requested to cancel my card. this year i give you guys a chance to absorb it before i request to cancel my card again. if you guys want to wait til then, i will not accept your offer and cancel straight away." after that, they offered me rm50 if i swipe 3 times (any amount) within the next 30 days. I know right. What were they thinking? What's the point? They just hope that we will pay the GST ourselves? Don't forget that there was a forumer here mentioned GST was charged even though his card month is on May. Me myself is monitoring everyday because my card month falls on May as well. If I found out they charged me, straight away direct to BNM.

QUOTE(geekfiredog @ Apr 9 2015, 01:55 PM) Update : I called them earlier this week to check my week 5 rebate status. At first they told me that I'm not in the winner list. I mentioned I doubt that there are > 300 registered users swiped their card in < 5 mins of Week 5 campaign start to finish the RM30,000 weekly quota, they then agree to open a report to investigate. Got a call from UOB just now to update the investigate result - I'm qualified for 20% rebate for week 5 and will get the rebate in ~ 2 weeks time. Me too, received a call from UOB after I lodged a complaint. My rebate for week 5 will be credited in 2 weeks time.

Actually just paying those utilities, petrol & some online purchase been using MBB amex d.. now looking for another cash rebate card as backup for those merchant that not accepting AMEX Actually you can get the info in UOB website by clicking Related Links (under useful info) > UOB Product Disclosure Sheets > Eng / BM (under Credit Cards / Commercial Cards). There you can see all the annual fees of all the cards from UOB.

QUOTE(parkerfu @ Apr 29 2015, 02:03 PM) im very keen to apply uob credit card while now, i have owned hsbc master gold card and citibank visa clear card been tried to apply uob, rejected...T.T no problem at my credit as i always paid bill on time..wonder why Is your income more than RM36,000 per year? If not there is a rule by BNM that one cannot hold cards more than 2 card issuers, ie, more than 2 banks. If yes, then maybe your commitment is too high like what the post above has highlighted.
