i'm afraid that you will be charged rm50 per principal card. what's that two uob cards you get? maybe you should start to learn how to maximise the cards benefits now...

Ahh.. sweat.gif
The cards are the UOB ladies and One card.
Is it true that I will get RM50 cashback with n swipes within a time frame to offset the government service tax then?
Is the annual fee for the first year waived?

call up customer service and ask.

Technically, if you are not a female, you could ask why your Ladies card is approved

yeah, you may check with them regarding this. not sure whether this promo still on. if yes, you can have both your gst absorbed by uob for the first year. then you may cancel your cards before the next gst kicks in. nod.gif

Hi guys, I checked my unbill statement, gov tax was charged @ 1/11 and there were several transactions made after 1/11.

If I cancel the card now, do I still need to pay for the tax?

According to custom department, only those renewed or Not Been Used one (NEW Card with No Transaction Made) but cancelled within 3 months and not use the new card is eligible not to pay GST...

Yes. You need to pay GST. As I mentioned in previous post, don't expect UOB to absorb GST. It is a stingy bank. Even if you spend >100k per year, they won't waive for you also. If you are looking your GST waiver, then UOB definitely not your choice.

Oh, thanks for the update. May I know any condition required to waive the GST?

I was offered the same upgrade. Gonna take it and still keep my One card for petrol cash back.

Did the telemarketer told you it's either 24 transactions OR 50k per year? I asked but she say they will see the transactions and if you call them to waive for following years, it'll usually be waived. Also, the girl told me first 2 years annual fee is waived. Did you take the offer?
*
I took the offer too. But only 1st year annual fee is waived. How come she offered you 2 years annual fee waiver?
Rm50k a year on a single card is a lot as we've other credit cards to spend with.

Hi Guys,

I noticed every month, when the bill comes, my VOX will have Rm 6 administrative fee charges even though I do not have any transaction in the card.

Any idea what is that?

it's ok, actually i just put up the info in this v3 thread 12 days ago. the info was not there previously in v2 thread.

by the way, how many times you have been charged with that rm6 already? sounds not worth to get this card having to pay rm6 monthly without utilising its benefits.
