QUOTE(victorywp @ Nov 20 2014, 03:25 PM) i'm afraid that you will be charged rm50 per principal card. what's that two uob cards you get? maybe you should start to learn how to maximise the cards benefits now... Ahh.. The cards are the UOB ladies and One card. Is it true that I will get RM50 cashback with n swipes within a time frame to offset the government service tax then? Is the annual fee for the first year waived?

QUOTE(Rundevilrun @ Nov 20 2014, 03:04 PM) the salesperson was begging me and he said it won't be approved necessarily I need to learn how to say NO the next time. that is not considered forcing. Technically, if you are not a female, you could ask why your Ladies card is approved This post has been edited by Human Nature: Nov 20 2014, 04:58 PM

Hi guys, I checked my unbill statement, gov tax was charged @ 1/11 and there were several transactions made after 1/11.
If I cancel the card now, do I still need to pay for the tax?

According to custom department, only those renewed or Not Been Used one (NEW Card with No Transaction Made) but cancelled within 3 months and not use the new card is eligible not to pay GST... Even if you spend >100k per year, they won't waive for you also. If you are looking your GST waiver, then UOB definitely not your choice.

If you have an issue with the bank, please deal with the bank directly.

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Nov 19 2014, 04:24 PM) I was offered the same upgrade. Gonna take it and still keep my One card for petrol cash back. Did the telemarketer told you it's either 24 transactions OR 50k per year? I asked but she say they will see the transactions and if you call them to waive for following years, it'll usually be waived. Also, the girl told me first 2 years annual fee is waived. Did you take the offer? I took the offer too. But only 1st year annual fee is waived. How come she offered you 2 years annual fee waiver? Rm50k a year on a single card is a lot as we've other credit cards to spend with.

And, Thank you very much for the info. it's ok, actually i just put up the info in this v3 thread 12 days ago. the info was not there previously in v2 thread. by the way, how many times you have been charged with that rm6 already? sounds not worth to get this card having to pay rm6 monthly without utilising its benefits.
