QUOTE(LightningChan @ Dec 11 2016, 04:12 AM) Hi everyone.. Almera 2012, had similar problem...the left side of the rear brake was making squeaking sound...SC replace both brake pad...so far no noise...My Almera (2013, Impul Kit version) got some weird noise coming from the back. I can hear some cracking/clicking sound when I brake. Sometimes can feel it at the pedal too like the pedal suddenly sink abit. Other than that I also noticed a constant but faint tak tak tak tak tak sound when I'm slowing down from let's say 60 to 0. The tak tak tak sound fast at first then constantly slower and slower until I stop. Like those "road impian/lucky draw" spinning wheel sound. Then there is the weird rubbery sound from the front when I pass by uneven road or go over a bump. Could it be failing drum brakes, failing wheel bearing and failing absorbers?. Anyone else hearing sound like mine from their Almera?. tak tak sound mostly likely from the front brake clipper pin..It needs re-greasing.. few thing u might wanna check 1)anti-sway bars 2)Steering Rack Bushings 3)Shock Absorber Mounting |

QUOTE(Gamerjim @ Nov 1 2017, 12:47 PM) Usually I will just let the car idle like 2 minutes early in the morning before driving.. however 1 thing I notice is during the 1st drive of the day the car will not engage into overdrive/4th gear for few minutes even I achieve the speed which usually 4th gear will be engaged.. is this the same case for others? yes same with all Almera.. |

QUOTE(kimteck @ May 1 2018, 01:33 PM) Anyone experienced "clak clak" sound from the front (driver side) when turning left in the car park circle? Im experiencing this right now ..right side ..did they change the shock absorber mounting? The stabilizer link ok?Just changed the bush and absorbers, yet the technician can't identify the real cause. Anyone changed the drive shaft at 80k millage? |

QUOTE(xiaobaiwm @ Oct 13 2018, 09:04 PM) https://photos.app.goo.gl/NA1bpzc3xsH8y6uZ8 This is perfectly normal. It Condensation..Happen only cold weather or early morning..Sifu help The smoke appears after I start my car and run it for 1min. I am so scared now cuz there's so much smoke coming out of my exhaust and I am not sure if this is condensation from engine or piston problem?! Checked my coolant and it looks good still at max level. Engine oil cap got no sludge just pure oil. Dip stick no water droplets. No engine light on. But after running and moving around with the car for 100m, then smoke just gone. I have done research on the net and the possible caused are: 1) PCV gone bad 2) Engine mounting leak 3) Piston damage 4) Engine condensation 5) Engine oil burning. How ah? Will this cover under my warranty? This car only has 20k mileage. |

QUOTE(cheowkwen @ Oct 29 2018, 07:33 PM) Hi, my Almera is already 5 years++...Recently, there is sound like something has loose when I'm driving on a rough and uneven road. But it is quiet when i driving through bumpers. I have similar problem...Mine makes noise especially driving on uneven road...but the clunking sound comes from the driver side. The sound is noticeable early morning driving .Once the car is driven few Km, the noise seems to be less..I suspect the drive shaft, lower arm or shocks structs. It seems the sounds are came from the absorber or lower arm. Anyone has the similar problem before? |

QUOTE(Jessieccy @ Aug 23 2019, 06:25 PM) Last time i got. The guy say i drive too fast. i couldnt really get such nice flat wear. i usually get all those rubber chipping as well as cupping at the Outer side of the front tires. i tahan till 30K KM then changed to Goodyear ATM1. never really noticed the cupping anymore. im thinking the CC5 got soso grip. Thanks Jessieccy...most tire shop suggest replacing the rear shocks..Just as precaution you might wanna look at your lower arms. or any suspension related parts. especially alignment. Or just get better tires Goodyear ATM2 not bad |

QUOTE(Oreoyh90 @ Mar 9 2020, 11:34 PM) Yes something like kluk klak everytime going over bump / uneven road. Most obvious is going down through multilevel parking. I also suspect its from front part of the car. I now suspect is bad serpentine belt but lazy wanna fix it now. You can try to see whether its your serpentine belt. --could be steering rack, steering coupling(can be tighten) or tie rod end(check for free play)...my car having this problem especially in the morning and turning to the right...SC suspect steering rack... Anyone has changed reverse sensors at Service Centre before? Mine keeps a constant ring while shifted into reverse gear, although there's nothing behind my car. The car is about 7 years old. i saw it on youtube...try using wb 40 to clean... |

fyi...I recently replace the engine mounting (liquid-filled mount right side) even though physical it was still in good condition.. sign of engine mounting damage… vibrate during idling, vibrate during high speed >90 km, knocking sound over potholes. Initially SC suspect steering rack, but after few days of checking, the found the problem..🙄
