RM68 the lowest i've seen. buy at least 5-10 i think can get rm50, haggle a bit.

why wanna rush to have a star at RM50 when the husbandry costs much more? save some more 1st, get bigger specimen and proper setup.

thanks for the info. Looks like it might be possible to get it at rm50 from camil's info. if we can get 5 order of stars, can you ask your dealer/seller for me ?

Like what camillenoir said, better to save more and buy the bigger specimen as they are more hardy and less prone to fall sick. No point buying them cheap and might endup dead 1 months later. There's a friend of mine here who bought 5 small ones and i think 2 of them died. Another case where 2 of his only star tortoise died. Both of them having those rm68 specimens FYI.

oh.. point taken. but anyway , how does a baby behaves ? active ? always walking ?
or i have seen some that are sleeping during day time at pet shops.

also where is the rm68 shop , just in case , to be alert/take precaution about their stars.

well, if can afford only 1 first then get 1 first. I do wish to keep another but space for 2 stars is gonna be hard... I don't want my current star to have less space. Also I think my mom would freak if I get another star hahaahh.

hi crazymouse,

good price... i might tempted to add some more to my collection...

anyway, where is the ss2 morning market located?
*
it is beside the ss2 hawker food stalls. can't miss it if you pass by. or
next to the open car park which is in front of savemart/babyland/kamdar/watson/secret recipe/bank muamalat ETC.

The small pet stall is near the entrance at the mj cafe shop. the other entrance is near Mc D. Its a very small one , so be careful that you might miss it. also near his stall are the chicken stalls. only sells fish foods & some green tortoises. See if you can get a better price from him. if so, let me know also. tough bargaining with him. hehe..

Hmm.. yep.. Opuntia Cacti indeed is an ideal diet.

Opuntia cacti - a plant typically rich in calcium with a very high Ca:P ratio, taken from http://www.tortoisetrust.org/articles/calcium.htm

Guess I've to search for this at nursery to plant it myself, haha. Difficult to grow?

RM50 for Star Tort? I think Pasar Pudu can get around RM60 - 70. You can always haggle for the price there.

Hmmm.. does anyone know the normal prices for Elongated Tortoise? Saw 2 of them last month nearby Brickfields. Size is around 3 inches and selling for RM350 each. Not sure this price is consider cheap or expensive. Planning to get new tortoises to accompany my 2 star tortoises. Still wishing can find Leopard Tortoise.

Thanks for the info , hong123.

was just wondering anyone would like to share a bulk buy thing so that can get good discount ?

Hoping to get a 55 ringgit deal ..
