hello guys.......
i juz want to ask some question for any experience tortoise owner.......

i'm going to buy star tortoise...... and i'm still noob in owning a star tortoise

can anyone tell me about

1. what type of food that the most suitable n easy to buy for them....
2. what kind of bedding or soil i need to use.....(easy to find)
3. what type of housing that i need to prepare for them....what size.....

anyone can help me ?

u can get star tortoise for only rm80~~~~

if my housing without lid or any penutup, can ?
i nak keep my tortoise in door where i can easily reach them.......

do they poo a lot ?

i already do some research, mayb not enough

but 2 or 3 website about star tortoise use soil as their bedding. they also tanam grass n many type of rumput2 n cactus(opuntia) yg star tortoise suke mkn....they make water hole for them to bath

kinda interesting to build taman (heaven~~) for my star tortoise.....

about the size.....most of pet shop i tgk jual dlm rm120-rm130....
is it the right size n price ?

i want to use sand and soil bcoz i like to watch them digging.....

if cant, i use normal wood shaving bedding...

i know that most of u guys said that their survival rate is only 10%.
mayb better for me to try to take care of them rather then let them die in the hand of ignorant petshop,
that only want to make money rather then took care of them.......

i want to try... but i'm no expert.

so guys..... what i need to buy 1st after a fish tank ? i want to set their home 1st bfore i get them.
what type of medicine or vitamins i need.
uzairi already teach me a thing or 2.....

went to ikano....kinda "rambang mate" at 1st when i enter pet safari~~~~
1st time being there....
but got disappointed........most of the stuff i need to buy for my star tortoise is out of stock
then try pets world.....close already !!!!!!!!!
i dunno if its close for gud or for renovation.
its close even its still only like 5pm.....

but still manage to get food tray....recycle paper pellet bedding n hydrometer.... from pets safari

it takes 1 month to receive new stock.....from what i heard from the owner
want to ask about other brand basking lamp then exo terra.....they r much cheaper....
medium size for only 30 bucks....is it the same quality as the exo tera ?
can i buy it........?
i only need the basking lamp to complete my housing for my star

i think u have to soak them by urself for a certain time.......n day.....

about the spectrum light, do we need a special spectrum light holder
or we can buy the normal kalimantan light holder ?
only the bulb we need to buy the exxoterra bulb right ? (very expensive bulb)

i've spend only like rm150 for housing setup for my Star......
its not that expensive

i've just got 2 pair of RES from sum one i know that want to buang it near longkang or tasek.....
but i dont have enough space n setup to take care of them....
3 of them already 3inch++( i guess)
1 terbantut....
still the same size when purchase. dono why.....

can anyone suggest me what to do with them ?
should i sell it ? how much ?

the carapacae care is to shine n prevent ur Star carapace(shell) to get infection.....

bout the humidity level...i still dont know bout that.....
