Don't use sand.

You can use wood but try and get the brand called Woody Pet. Another brand would be Careline wood pellet cat litter. Woody Pet cost RM18.90 while Careline cost RM16.80... difference is the weight, very little difference.

Another type of bedding for Star can also be Breeder's choice or Breeder's Celect. They are Recycled newspaper made into pellets and absorbs pee and smell very well. Rm19.90 to Rm22...

Sand is a big no no coz can cause impaction if eaten. Soil the same thing also and soil has a lot of parasites in it. Beach sand also has bacteria and is too fine.

Peat soil or coconut fiber soil or forest bedding is a bit too moist, stars need to be kept dry but they must have a bowl of water in their tank for drinking and soaking once a while.

Those turtles are camillenoir's. Nice collection bro. The elongated's head is high yellow, very nice.

entice your mum to love the stars la  . (maybe you should entice her to love all your other animals too)

nowadays nearly all my chelonians are taken care by my mum because i work 200km away from home.. makes life easier 
cactus (specifically, prickly pear - opuntia) is their main staple in the wild. most keepers give them hibiscus, good food.

Ohh... man, I think I was blur last night and thought ekiddie posted saying his turtles ate their own eggs hahah... my bad my bad.

I also have aquatic snails.... erm, dunno what species but they do not grow very big, just the size of 10 cent coins. 1 snail produced 20 snails.... realise it will only lay eggs and hatch if it has plants around.

Yup, that should simulate his natural habitat. He likes the cloudy water so much.. 
A treat for him.. got money can feed him meat and chicken.
