my sawback turtle loves to eat...everytime i feed him no matter how many times...its never enough...

hi...this is Zach Jr..
when we bought it the guy told me and my bf it was a hazel-back turtle...but i think its real name is sawback turtle..

oh really?? thx for clarifying it...coz we tried to find its real name online but we found too many types of turtles and we couldnt find a specific photo that really matched him

thx and ya its true they are very easily handled...
could u plz explain what does husbandry means ?? coz im kinda new in the turtles area
and he eats a whole lot !

actually what is their max size of growth...??
because he is growing quite fast it seems...
his size have about double since i've bought him...

i bought from an aquarium shop at centre point bandar utama...
now it is about 3 inches + dy compared to last time he was only about 1 inch +...really grown...

the spiny hill's head looks a little bit thin compared to its shell size
but then he also looks really tough liddat...hahaha...
i like the patterns on his heads and legs..really nice...

yeahhh...my zach jr. got companion liao
but do u guys know how to differentiate between a male and a female turtle??

and ya my razorback eats everything i gv everytime..its like he/she is never full!!

i'd really love the chance to see a real life turtle lay her eggs on the shores one day...but my friend says its really hard to see edi...and sometimes most of the eggs she lays are also empty shells

"If a painted turtle's shell is chipped, or broken, the shell will not grow back completely but scar tissue will be formed. The scar tissue will not take the exact shape of the original shell but will provide protection that is as strong as that of the original shell. If the tip of their tail is cut off, they will grow it back eventually. Some people carve designs into their turtles, this hurts the turtle, and can lead to a deadly infection and kill the animal. Painting the shell can cause eventual deformity of the shell."

i gotta ask again ah...how do we differentiate between male and female turtles ah??

i don hv a female to compare it to and i also cant seem to see it's tail la...

actually if one day our turtles have grown over the size of which we can keep in a tank ah then where should we let it go??

actually i was gonna choose a snake neck turtle when i bought mine...but then i saw the razorback one look nicer to me

actually to me both snakneck and razorback are nice...but then it was suppose to be a bday pressy for my bf and he likes razorback more so i got him a razorback lor..

then my bf told me that if one day a turtle/tortise bite your hand..it won let u go unless there is a big thunder de wor...is this true kah?? jus curious...
