i didnt notice it everytime i go there. maybe they put it in rare corner.
Ok, thank
*
couldn't say much for Time Machine, cuz you know how they "arrange" their stuff in the shop lol laugh.gif

but for GA, try to look on the left side shelf, and go straight to the end in the back. sometimes there's some MG Zeta Plus C1, too

QUOTE(Emprenos @ Nov 12 2014, 01:10 AM)
A question about the Gunpla Expo at IPC. With the exception of the limited expo-only products, are the model kits and stuffs there worth buying compared to hobby shops like Time Machine and such? In terms of price, that is. Planning to go down there this weekend and possibly grab a kit if it's slightly cheaper compared to normal market prices.
*
most kits have slightly higher price tag compared to the hobby shops in Times Square, about RM10+ more for MGs as an example. I wouldn't suggest you to buy any unless those kits that's really, really hard to find or it's been a while since the last time your favourite hobby shop restocked that particular kit.

Gunpla Expo is the time to hunt the Expo kits laugh.gif

there are quite a number of SDs on sale, with RM20-ish price tag for the Seed series

and there still quite a lot of the Metallic SD Sazabi as well

Went yesterday noon. Still got plenty of them. But no sign of RG Destiny Heine dho....
*
QUOTE(blur88 @ Nov 13 2014, 11:12 AM)
that mean the RG EXPO Zeta still available right??
*
RG Zeta Expo stock seems untouched. not much people grabbed.

as for the RG Destiny Heine Westenfluss, they do restock every couple of hours or so but each time they only bring out like 10-ish boxes only. I was there since 4.30pm until 9.30pm just now, and seen the Destiny being restocked a couple of times brows.gif

That's like  defeating the purpose of buying an electro-plated kit, no?

No amount of AB can replace electroplating finish.
*
yeap. exactly. that's the only turn down for these extra finish kits

if you're gonna repaint the whole thing (although the metallic effect still can be replicated) might as well get a normal one

hello i am very new with gunpla... can i know how ur 'otai'x2 find good price for kits??
*
this has been discussed for many times already but I'm feeling like making a short essay this afternoon so there you go icon_idea.gif

there's an easy trick actually. if you look at the barcode on one of the side of the boxes, you'll notice there's a 3-part number there. look at the most right one, then you'll get the price in yen!

as an example for this one;
user posted image

the numbers show "4200" (circled in red) indicating that the suggested retail price is 4200yen. have a quick check on Yen vs. RM exchange rate, and you'll get about RM120 (based on current rate). now you have the baseline price, and local shops tend to mark up a bit to cover their own shipment & operation cost, so look for the one that have the smallest difference (in other words, the one closest to the baseline price)

shops in Japan often sell below than the suggested price, so if you happen to have friends over there for sure you'll be getting a better deal!

if you happen to not be able to see for yourself the barcode, you can always check on online retailers like Hobbylink Japan website, and look at their "List Price" to find out the suggested retail price in yen.

you might want to take note as well on the shipping cost. only buy one kit a bit rugi lor sweat.gif

bundle a few, or ask friends if got any to "tumpang" shipping brows.gif
