good idea! Just paint that exia in pink and we're done  icon_rolleyes.gif

actually for Setsuna's Mobile Suit waist size, the order is Exia > 00 Gundam > 00 Quanta sweat.gif

QUOTE(blur88 @ Dec 4 2014, 11:55 AM)
Currently my WIP is RG Zeta Expo ver (Clear) should i do simple weathering before top coat (using tamiya weather master) or just matte top coat it?? Which one is best option?
*
in my opinion clear kits are meant for collection only, and if you're planning to do stuff like weathering etc., I suggest you just grab the normal version of the kit sweat.gif

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Dec 4 2014, 12:28 PM)
*facepalm*

with clear kit, you are not supposed to do this:
-top coat the kit either gloss or flat, it will make clear kit smoked/smoky look
-panel line
-putting decals, you hardly see it anyway after put it
-weathering

none of this above will enhance the clear kit look except
-paint the inner frame part with striking color e.g. gold so you can view that part in transparent armor

Hello all, want to ask something here

for the gn sword iv, only can compatible with Gundam Qanta?

Is there any other gundam can use it?
*
I believe so, since the connector included are meant for the backpack on the 00 Quanta

but there's always room for mods brows.gif

i find many that enjoy anime aired on tv like naruto, toransifoma and such find it difficult to understand gundam series.. too many to figure out.. cannot brain
*
QUOTE(Nawar @ Dec 11 2014, 12:04 PM)
its more derailing to anime side, not to demean... to some a bit knowledge or content pertaining to the kit wld be more satisfying..
i jump into this hobby because of the sinanju..
*
what I meant was on the plamo part sweat.gif

in my opinion knowing the story behind would only add extra knowledge on the MS, doesn't mean it needs to accompany each other (the anime & the kit) but that might differ from one fan to another

in some cases seeing the anime might give you a different thought on an MS as well, like how I loved Sword Impulse due to its badass look but later when I've seen Seed & Seed Destiny, that developed a little hate cuz of its whiny & emo pilot lol

not glossy, but still injection, right?

so it's still technically gold injection colour, but not puke gold  laugh.gif
*
surely not glossy, but I believe that was factory painted/coated. not sure on the base colour of the plastic part though

*edited*

just gone through Dalong, and found out it was indeed coated but unlike the bling2 one the HD ver. got matte finish. me likes brows.gif

also, I do believe the plastic was originally black, before they apply a layer of silver and later gold

QUOTE(Nawar @ Dec 11 2014, 06:07 PM)
gaming more expensive to me since some title only goes with some devices, so need to hv more device to play specific game..

For gunpla it seems that the used market is not that great.. if the gunpla is built with great masterpiece skill + extras customize base, diorama etc can sell high..
but still there are ppl selling their basic build kit at prices i could not understand..
*
I never ventured into this hobby thinking about how I can sell them later on, but just for the sake of enjoying the builds and making new friends that shares the same passion

for me, I only sell those unbuilt kits that I've lost interest in, or assembled one with reasonable price whenever I needed the space sweat.gif

speaking of which, I'm in the process of adding in my Aile Strike collection now, but not really keen on making any purchase so I decided to swap. anyone here interested to swap a MG Aile Strike ver. RM with my MG AGE-2 Double Bullet, and also RG Aile Strike with my RG Mk-II AEUG? I'm talking about unbuilt kits here, and all those that I intended to swap have the same value laugh.gif

Really rare. The last i laid my eyes on the kit was in 2005 at a superstore. Back then it was only rm50.
*
last time I've seen it was a couple of years back I think, in Gamers Arena if I recall correctly. price is RM60-ish? forgot already sweat.gif

Finally chose this  HG Aile Strike Gundam (CE) from gundam.my

Part of it because it was the 1st Gundam that I knew from anime.Looks cool and maybe not to complicated to built?

Order some FG for my little nephew (Sword Impulse Gundam + Sword Strike Gundam)

Good choice?
*
a very good one, I believe thumbup.gif

can i sent to him?
looks like he already have painted much kits
*
quantity wouldn't always mean quality. have you tried looking around a bit more? you might want to compare price and the finishing quality too when it comes to commission work sweat.gif

plus, I would recommend what HxiiiK have suggested. never let time hold you back from building the kits on your own nod.gif

depends on your liking towards his/her work.. prices also plays factor of skill & quality job..
but i find theres inconsistencies in the paintjob quality.. decals aren't properly aligned..
Panel lining too bold/heavy with smudges..

There are ppl achive good results with partial hand painted kits.. or even rattle can kits..

If i were to send my kit for someone to do.. i hv to throw alot of money since i would want the kit to be a masterpiece in which something i cant achieve even if i hv time or skill to do it.
*
couldn't agree more nod.gif

I'm no pro, but I do believe you can find a builder that provides better results

what? he use macross decals?
that was a shameful act, i wonder how macross fans react when seeing this,

btw thanks guys for giving me some input....
will not sent it to him...
*
in my opinion, crossovers are fine as long as you got the theme right like let say, changing colour schemes based on the theme selected or maybe do some physical mods to incorporate certain details from the series. you can see an abundance of HG BeargGuy crossovers with Kamen Rider, Iron Man and even Batman and most that I've seen managed to pull it off. you can see the builders incorporate extensive physical mods to get the look they wanted on their BeargGuys.

I don't think simply slapping some random decals would count as a "custom" work doh.gif

Didn't want my RG Zaku II mono-eye to be pink. So I used a red Sharpie and a metallic silver gundam marker on the clear part instead. I think it turned out pretty nicely. No masking required.

yes it is, to ensure the linings stays in place and wouldn't fade away

I've read somewhere that Exia is the original "Gundam Seven Swords" before 00 came along.

even in "standard" form it has 4 beam sabers (2 behind the shoulders, 2 behind the skirt armour), 2 GN Blades & the all-important GN Sword
