Wah, so heat up discussion smile.gif

To each their own smile.gif

When I look at magazines, I always respect those who mod and make their SD better. Filling up holes, shallow parts etc.
To me, I might not want to go with that hassle too, but, the results in those magazine are so nice that I would think it was worth the effort smile.gif

My first painted SD with airbrush.
Why did I choose this kit? Because I wanted to experiment candy colour method and come on, it is a phenex biggrin.gif
It was a hassle to clean the airbrush few times since need to change colour gloss black -> starbright silver -> clear gold.
And considering the drying time etc, I think it took around 3 days. I can spray morning only biggrin.gif

And this one, is black finishing spray can and the rest are hand painted using brush with tamiya acrylic and citadel paint.

Both results might not be perfect to other people. But, I am satisfied with it and might be working a 3rd SD that will also get aibrush treatment. smile.gif

Have fun gunpla-ing.

By the way, like I said before, the repaint on the rinascita looks nice smile.gif

again, pulautikus is on fire when it comes to assembling gundams. biggrin.gif

This is work on my NG Exia.
I bought it long before the MG Exia come out. But I just actually completed (panel line + decal + topcoat) it late last year. tongue.gif
This is my lazy mode. Assemble, decal, panel line then flat topcoat (ok la, I hand painted some of the clear green) biggrin.gif

Any sifus can teach me how can I archive the metallic orange for arios like above???
prefer hand brush or spray can. Chrome silver + clear orange? or just straight metallic orange???
Thank you
*
I am no sifu, but I have not noticed any metallic orange spray can before.
And yes, Silver then clear orange sounds like a reasonable alternative smile.gif

which shop you buy paint in KK?
Are you referring to spray can or bottle paint?

Not sure they have or not, but have you check KK Toys?

The challenge of RG for me is not about part small.
But fragile.  I already extra careful when building them. Still, already broken 2 parts so far.
I am not even finish the whole kit yet.
*
Which kit are you building?

After my experience building and breaking my first RG, I am being extra careful nowadays biggrin.gif

ok great, i will try to find those 90s HG, though i dont think there would be many lying around...
ohmy.gif , is it really that fragile?
even cacin had a not so good experience with it...guess i should really go slow and be extra careful...
*
Mine was on the RX-78-2. Which I think since it was the first RG, and I was kinda impatient, that was why I broke the thigh part:D
The thing that I think I learn from there was, only try to move the frame (bend the knee etc) once you have the armour assembled. Even then, need to do carefully smile.gif
Assembling the 2nd leg was fine and after that I did assembled RG Char Zaku and the MK2 titans smile.gif

Moving to exia and based on reix info, I'll be carefull smile.gif

Got 20% off discount on HLJ. Wondering what kit should I get..
Thought of Destiny Extreme Blast Mode. But the 20% discount isn't that significant on that kit.

If I purchase PG Unicorn from HLJ, will they charge me tax when it arrives in Malaysia?
*
Any item that is more than RM500 including shipping will be taxed.

Between rm500 to rm999, you can go collect the item yourself and pay the tax.
1k and above, need an 'import license'. You can appoint Poslaju as your importer for rm50ish. Then also need to pay tax.
Since if you choose EMS from HLJ, poslaju will handle the shipping once enter malaysia. You can opt for Fedex, but I think in general that one is more expensive.

I think for model kit, need to pay 10% tax.

This happens to me while building the RG Exia. I've tried my best to be carefull. The thing snapped while trying to insert it.

Well. Cement it in place now so the waist beam holder cannot move left right anymore biggrin.gif

is it possible to paint PG unicorn Psycho Frame to clear green?or not possible at all hmm.gif
*
QUOTE(xein @ Mar 17 2015, 01:12 PM)
Not possible. The red color is the plastic not a paint coat. If it is clear then you can paint in any color. If it is yellow you can try a layer of blue but on red it cannot change to green.
*
I was told that the red is also reactive to blacklight. So, if you paint it, might lose that effect.

I'm only interested in the Transient Gundam for the GBFT series. Others not much different from their original version imo.
*
Liked the transient too, but I do feel that not all the gundams are similar to original ones.
Like The End, G-Portent, Try Burning, Burning, Winning, Star winning, Tryon 3.
