On semi-slicks? That doesn't sound good on a wet road.

a very talented young man, too bad he chose the wrong set of tyres for road use.

It was not so much about what tyres he was using.
It's more about what kind of speed he was doing on a public road.

The slick tyres probably won't hold even within speed limit.

It's a loss to the world.

People mention he's a Drag Race champion, not sure about circuit race. So it's more about the car when it comes down to drag race. Some more i doubt the Porsche is Manual transmission as PDK is much faster for Drag races. It's about getting the launch correct.

Anyway news say the power is nearly doubled the original factory 500hp, meaning it's close to 1000hp, which i'm not sure how it would handle on normal roads. A small blip on the throttle would mean a sudden surge of power on the wheel, some more it's a 911.

Depending on which highways. M'sian roads are actually very well suited for race driving. Wide lanes, grippy road compound.

Driver just had the wrong tyres at the wrong speed is all.

Cut the slack and give it a rest. What happen happened and live goes on. Let it be a lesson for all.

I was dismayed by some Mysians who celebrated it or gave them their "likes" on tragedies like this. doh.gif
