I believe some of us chose to wait because of the plan with discounted price for the device, otherwise Apple online store is still the best by paying RRP. Unbox the iphone just now and found out that there is no Maxis warranty card like last time, but with small fragile Apple service card (like sticker).

I feel you bro. The only thing I stick to Maxis is their coverage in City area and LTE. Price wise, its definitely not as good as other Telcos.

I called maxis yesterday, the CS told me that I can continue use back the old nanosim from my iPhone 5 and don't need to use the new sim card provided though.
