This has been mentioned in earlier posts but I felt many still havent noticed maxis' big lie. Ive attached maxis' iValue brochure.
Just look at the iValue plans. They all have got different allocations except for three parts;
1) Free 1000 minutes Maxis-Maxis Calls
2) Free 4GB Maxis Wifi
3) RM0.10 per sms (to all operators)
Lets focus on the first one. I believe almost 100% of this new iValue subscribers would have signed up for one of these plans thinking they have 1000 free minutes On net calls (apart from the already bundled minutes). Thus on this basis, if one takes up iValue 2 for example, he/she will think they can talk to maxis numbers for 1000 minutes while not sacrificing the bundled minutes. NO! The 1000 free onnet minutes only apply once u have reached the monthly allocated minutes (bundled quota).
Simple example: you make a call to a maxis number and talk for 1500 minutes. Those cheated will think 1000 minutes to be deducted from the free 1000 onnet minutes, and the next 500 minutes from the bundled minutes, which will leave u with another 167 minutes, right?
Wrong!!! 1500 minutes minutes will be deducted from bundled 667 minutes first, 1500-667=833. This 833 are the minutes of free calls u will enjoy to MAXIS numbers. And this example is without calls made to other networks (Digi, celcom).
2nd example (also based on iValue 2):-
calls to maxis numbers 500 minutes
calls to other operators 700 minutes
so its 1200 minutes - 667 × 0.12 (flat rate to all)
= 63.96
add that to 155 (iValue 2) = 218.96
Maxis lying big time. They never even mention the exact calculation in the leaflets let alone their website.
Be extra careful guys. dont limit your query to the CSE at maxis centres, call their call centre and double check with them.
Myself, I got the correct answer only after talking three times to the call centre operators (they themselves were unsure about maxis plans) !!!
p/s: please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks:)
Hmmm... I'm assuming the calculations are applicable for iValue plans? Won't impact the MaxisONE plan, since it comes with unlimited minutes for calls?
