I love chicks, and I certainly do love DOA, but the moment I saw the first screen captures, I knew this movie was gonna suck. Bad.

just came back from watching the show....
final verdict..aiyohhh watching kasumi really feels like watching a bulldog in the movie man.. need to play DoA back to repair my mind..

saw the subtitles pronounce the names of characters wrongly as well

Kasumi = Kasumee
Hayate = Ayati

those who played DoA and liked it...avoid watching this show
those don't know what is DoA and curious about it...watch it

My Eyes....

Just now I'm watching Prison Break, and Holly Valance is in it. I keep hearing a voice in my head whispering "Christie ....... Christie ......"

AAAHHHHH!!!! My brain has been fried senseless from viewing the DOA movie. It's just wrong, everything about it is wrong! I knew going in for the movie was gonna be a bad idea, but not this bad!

On the plus side (there's a plus!?), there are some references to the DOA games. For example, the opening scene is a nod to Team Ninja's signature opening logo. Also, the announcer sounds a lot (or probably is) like the Monica announcer from DOA. And, uh, Donovan attempts to look like Itagaki with the shades on? Yeah, I hated it too.

And the fighting. God, the fighting. Almost none of the characters fight like their game counterparts. Last time I checked, Christie used Snake Hand, not.... whatever it was she used in the movie. And Hayabusa, god, what have they done to you? The super ninja has been turned into the princess' loyal guard or other. I'm gonna have to log in some serious time with Ninja Gaiden to remind me what a bad-ass Hayabusa actually is.

Ohhhh my head. I'm totally not going to look at the DOA fighters with the same eyes again. 'Cause I might subconsciously recall memories of this particular attempt at bringing DOA to the masses.
