firstly, i'll suggest you get a 3rd pt cooler - TX-3 should be good or CM 212+.

even most ppl able to get that frequency, you should experiment slowly since its your 1st time by increasing to 3.5ghz, then monitor the temp by stressing it and increase 50mhz and keep doing so until its not stable/temp too high.

do not try it on stock cooler, i nvr use 8120 b4, but i believe a proper 3rd part cooler is needed.

I used TX-3 for FX-8350 - it's HOT. No kidding, with vcore boost and all it will be really really really hot.

Currently using AIO setup for my FX-8350, non-OC.

You can forget about 4.5ghz using TX-3 though, unless you don't mind running it at the brink of breaking down due to overheat.

Realistic figure with TX-3 probably goes to around 3.5ghz to 3.8ghz range with some vcore boost.

Whether it's CM Seidon or Nepton, it would do a lot better than the TX-3.

As for the graphic, it shouldn't have such problem as that one's a matter of your R9 280X which would not be affected by your overclock.
