I placed order on Thursday evening
Initially I thought it will take up to 3-4 months to reach me (according to what Apple Store Online said).
Yesterday afternoon I received the message that my iPhone has been despatched from Singapore. I was very happy.

But seriously,that's the normal flight route if buy from Apple online and delivered by UPS. Stupid hub.
Btw, our phones are all in the same plane. Be glad it's not shipped by MAS..

UPS historically did this since it took over from DHL and especially when the final destination is states in northern Malaysia.
The most ridiculous ever thing it did was they picked up the item from Singapore, went to Changi, then transit in Sepang, Shenzhen, HK, then only it reached Penang.
I think most likely these places are its hub, and they can clear the parcels faster... Or there are some benefits if transit these places or whatever...

In summary, our phone would have travelled the world distance more than most of us have travelled for holiday.

Like mentioned, based on my previous experience of buying from Apple Online Store, your orders are received by Apple Sg because it is the hub for Apple Products( Apple My and Sg). Apple Sg will send your orders to Shenzen, China where the warehouse there will process and ship your order if there are stocks. Then only will the stocks be shipped to Singapore first before to Malaysia. However if Apple Sg has the stocks at hand, they will ship direct to Malaysia like some bros experienced.

I've ordered Ip6 16GB Gold on the 1st of November and received on the 6th November, but instead of delivery I've pick it up at the centre. Would say much better than waiting for delivery.

Which model did you buy? Mine stuck in China like d rest :-(

not to worry much, UPS is quite a reliable courier service (just a bit weird). The tracking is often delayed, but the delivery is often punctual. I think by tonight it will be sent to hk, then monday it should be in malaysia.
And now it is weekend.
