QUOTE(river.sand @ Dec 5 2014, 02:21 PM) US market - can short sell mah... Those lawsuits gonna take VT millions of dollars and many years to fight off.. Furthermore the FC that quit (only 3 months on the job) earlier said that revenues and profits are improperly stated before IPO... That one shooting VT on the foot.. QUOTE Consolidated revenue increased by 5.6% to MYR47.7 million (US$14.5 million) from MYR45.2 million in the corresponding period of 2013.
Profit attributable to shareholders of MOL Global Inc. decreased 61.5% to MYR2.4 million (US$0.7 million) in the third quarter of 2014 from MYR6.3 million in the corresponding period of 2013.
During the course of the Company's review of its financial results for the third quarter of 2014, the Company's auditor discovered that its Vietnamese subsidiary, Nganluong Joint Stock Company ("Nganluong"), which was acquired by the Company in March 2013, reported revenue from its payment business on a gross basis, and accounted for the corresponding fees payable to merchants being included in direct cost and other ancillary expenses. However, the Company's accounting policy is to account for such transactions on a net basis because the Company acts as an agent with respect to these revenue arrangements, such that the corresponding fees payable to merchants should have been netted out of revenue and not included in direct cost and other ancillary expenses. I also scan the market until got nothing to buy already unless top up Karex Bursa Pharmaniaga DiGi AFG TaAnn QUOTE NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street's biggest banks remain convinced the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates by June 2015, a Reuters poll found, and economists also said the market was underestimating how aggressively the U.S. central bank will tighten policy.
The median forecast of 18 dealers for the federal funds rate at the end of next year was 1 percent, compared with the median forecast of Fed policymakers of 1.38 percent, according to projections from the central bank's October meeting.
The median forecast of 14 dealers for the federal funds rate at the end of 2016 was 2.5 percent, compared with policymakers' median forecast of 2.88 percent. By the end of 2017, 10 primary dealers projected a median federal funds rate of 3.5 percent, while policymakers' median forecast was 3.75 percent.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 5 2014, 05:44 PM) Wait, MYR depreciate, won't that attract foreign speculators to return to Bolehland property? Esp Singapore property buyers... If MYR depreciate WITH a chance of going back up again... AND when property price is rising consistently. Then yes! Now property price stagnant.. MYR depreciate...and not much chance to beat SGD, the more you use SGD to buy you kena double whammy. You lose in exchange rate and risk property not going up... might go down instead. You dare buy? And if you are holding Malaysian property buy using SGD, now MYR depreciate and property price already stagnant/peaked... what you want to do? REIT also reacts the same one... QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 5 2014, 05:58 PM) My investing goal is to slowly accumulate yield assets that eventually I retire at 55, they can provide for my living needs I'm extremely bad at making sell decisions With yield, I just sell when I can get better yielding assets Stocks with no yield, when to sell? Even easier.. when the profit growth becomes less or reverse. You got the same concept in your signature leh..

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 5 2014, 06:02 PM) "Investing should be more like watching paint dry or watching grass grow. If you want excitement, take $800 and go to Las Vegas." - Paul Samuelson I want my sex life investing to be boring Growth can and should be boring.. you are misreading the quote. It means you should not jump in, out and around the stock and make buy/sell decisions on a few sen movements or rumors and wild speculation. Example of good growth companies like PBbank, KLK & F&N.. are they not boring? Everyday like no movement one, not much volume, but then again if you see the earning growth it is fantastic since IPO and so naturally the share price has steadily appreciated with compounded gain of >30% p.a.. Do you think only dividend yield given by these companies can make these gains? This post has been edited by gark: Dec 5 2014, 06:08 PM

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 5 2014, 06:09 PM) If u bought PBank, KLK, F&N or even BAT during its IPO or not long after IPO...your yield on COST is amazing Ok la ok la, I get your point If I dun get it, what do u think I bought Karex (DY only 1%) for? For its free condom sample during AGM? Yes then.. if you only look at yield .. why buy karex? Don't get me wrong.. Karex growth is amazing so far BUT it is WORTH such high valuation? Commodities stock CAN be very volatile.. it swings from being ultra expensive (when commodity goes up) and ultra cheap (when commodities crash), these provide very nice entry/exit point for you.. QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Dec 6 2014, 08:49 PM) Hi guys, just want to give you some interesting read on a Japanese day trader called CIS, whose stryr featured in Bllomberg news a while back: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-09-25/m...ion-trades.htmlPoints to note: 1) Fundamentals is useless in short term intra-day trading. 2) He monitors top 300 most traded stocks...3) He said 'buy when people are buying and sell when people are selling'... 4) Hes an obvious momentum trader...means he monitor if theres a sudden big volume of bidding or selling price coming...he follows the big money when it enters and when it goes out. 5) Let his winner rides and cut his losers fast. 6) Complicated technical analysis or fundamentals waste your time in analyzing and executing.... he prefers the numbers on the market to tell the story and re3acts within seconds....Im a noob in stock market so pls spare me from any bad bashing uncle gark or pink spider gor... Its called HST aka. high speed trading. There are a couple of books out there on this... you don't actually do the trades yourself, you put the algorithm into the program and it highlights the 'potentials' according to the criteria and also sometimes the computer execute the trades yourself. 100 trades a day is norm for HST, they pay very little or no brokerage and buy sell with 1 tick difference.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 7 2014, 04:23 PM) Pharma companies earnings not too volatile quater to quarter la Revenue still growing, 5-6% growth so should be sustainable. Weak Ringgit should do them good in coming quarters Do u think good for buy and hold? Weak RM is actually bad for pharmaceuticals companies, as their raw materials is mostly imported and denominated in USD. This post has been edited by gark: Dec 8 2014, 10:20 AM

But...even CCMDBIO's sales growth also <10% wor...then, who're the average/above average ones? Since you like pharma so much... i recommend you Kalbe Farma... earning growth at CAGR of 35% p.a. for the past 10 years. Good stock. This post has been edited by gark: Dec 8 2014, 10:22 AM

Revenue growth not equal to profir growth. At one time when hovid was cheap (when they dispose carotech) I was really interested, but as a turnaround story.. not so much now as the growth is tepid..

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 8 2014, 10:48 AM) I THINK EPS growth would be at around 10%+/- p.a. at best For annualised FY2015 figures, I used Basic EPS...if used Diluted EPS, the growth would be stagnant Yeah, I forgotten my EPS calculation stuff already Eh eh eh, why til now no one talked on the chart? If you use 3 years that is the strong rebound AFTER the sold off carotech... before that they were losing lots of money. Can the momentum be sustained?
