Hello all,

So I got myself a Fender Blues Jr while I was studying and now I'm back. Now, I was wondering whether should I get a step-down transformer or are there amp techies in KL/Selangor that can change the voltage input forever.

If I do get a step-down transformer, what specs/brand should I get? I've googled and it says I need 5x the wattage required. I'm not sure where to get a proper transformer here. I did scout for one in a hardware shop in MidValley but I wasn't convinced.

I would rather have the voltage required changed permanently (just in case some one does something stupid like plugging it through only an international adapter). I know there are guitar techies in Klang Valley but amp techies? Do enlighten me as I would love to use their services.

Currently I'm using a Roland cube to get by but I prefer the clarity and tone of the Fender Blues for my guitar and my sape'.

I know Jalan Pasar has step-down transformers, I was wondering if anyone here got any specific brands to vouch for. International adapters won't work because I don't want to fry my hard-earned 500$ tube amp.

Nope. Nik won't do any other amp unless they are Ceriatone.

Try contact this guy, Azhar 012-6186087 from Studio Ruang Irama, Ara Damansara. He repairs a lot of vintage Fenders, and specializes in lower gain stuff.
